The Cheapest and Most Scenic Golf Courses in the U.S.

Golf is an ever increasing popular sport in the United States, but it can also be a very expensive trip each time out on the course. Here is a guide for some cheap and affordable courses in the country.

The first course I am going to tell you about is The Lodge Resort in Cloudcroft, NM. You can play either it as an 18 hole course or 9 hole. The fees during the regular season are $46 for 18 holes and include a cart. For more information and to schedule a tee time, click on the above link.

The next course we have to offer you today is North/East at Oaks North Golf Course in San Diego, Ca. They have fees ranging from $15-43 on weekdays and $16-46 on weekends. They are located at: 12602 Oaks N Dr San Diego, California

Phone: (858) 487-3021

The next course you can check out is Old Works Golf Course in Anaconda, Montana.

The course is a Jack Nicklaus designed course and is listed by Golf Digest as the most affordable public course in America. For more information click on the above link.

Another on the Golf Digest site is The Links of North Dakota in Ray, ND. It has regular season rates of $60 per 18 holes. It was designed as a true Links style golf course and has five tee sets ranging from 5,249 to 7,092 yards to challenge every type of golfer out there, not just the professional.

The last course I would like to mention may not be the most affordable, but it certainly is one of the most scenic public courses around. The course where The President's Cup was just played, Harding Park in San Francisco, CA. It is a beautiful public course, and is named by Golf Digest as one of the best places to play period. It is a bit expensive at $135 a weekday rate including a cart, but for the experience of playing where the world's best have shown their stuff is worth the cost of admission alone.

So, there are five cheap golf courses in the country. I hope you get the opportunity to try them out. Good luck and great Golfing!!
