The Chelsea King Case and Failed US Judicial System

Today, March 3, 2010, San Diego Police believe they found the body of missing 17 year old Chelsea King. Chelsea was first reported missing last Thursday when she went for a job in a nearby San Diego park. Her 1994 BMW and cell phone were found along with her body in a shallow grave. Semen was found on her and was linked to John Albert Gardner III. He was arrested on Tuesday March 2nd. However, today was his court appearance where he "showing no emotion" and plead not guilty. It is also notable that Gardner is eligible for the death penalty.

Gardner was convicted in 2000 for attempted rape and molestation on a 13 year old female. This incident happened just minutes from the park Chelsea King was last seen running. He has had other incidents in the past involving attempted rape. "San Diego police said Gardner also was linked to an assault on a 22-year-old Colorado woman who managed to fend off her attacker on Dec. 27 in Rancho Bernardo Community Park on the northern edge of San Diego"

However, here is the kicker and what really shows me that our "judicial system" is nothing but a waste of time. Gardner could have had 11 years in prison for the 2000 molestation and attempted rape but he only got 6 years. Thats a 5 year difference for attempted rape and molestation of a 13 year old. By the way, he only served 5 of those 6 years!!! This man is obviously a man that needs to be put down like the animal that he is. Our BS judicial system thought otherwise. They couldn't tell from his past that HEY!!! this man is a physco and a registered sex offender and he is DANGEROUS! This was too hard to comprehend for some reason. In my opinion, the 13 year old who was attacked in 2000 by this thing didn't get justice, at all. This whole scenario could have been avoided if the courts simply saw that this man has been linked to over 5 attacks, that I could find, on young women. This absolutely amazing that this could happen!

This is absolutely unacceptable and radical action must be made. A young girl is dead, others attacked by this one man and the courts couldn't put him in jail for longer than 5 years. Quite frankly, this guy should have been already on death row or at least in prison for life. YOU CAN'T HAVE THESE KIND OF PEOPLE ROAMING THE STREETS, USE SOME GD COMMON SENSE!!!! I mean this is the United States of America and you can't even go on a effing jog knowing you will make it home. Hey, I wonder why we have law enforcement (courts)? Gee, could it be that it is used to keep FREAKING REPETITIVE SEX OFFENDERS OFF THE DAMN STREETS?!?!?!?

Give John Albert Gardner III the death penalty. If he doesn't get the death penalty, then the USA needs to have a restructure of at least the California Superior Court system.
As stated, I apologize for the nature of this article, but quite frankly if you aren't extremely pissed at the outcome of this situation and why it happened then you are no better than John Albert Gardner III and the courts.
