Cheyenne, Wyoming: The Cheyenne Civic Center will be deluged with entertainment icons for the month of November's "off season" shows, including scheduled appearances by Bill Cosby, Bryan Adams, Gordon Lightfoot, and The Oak Ridge Boys These acts have been entertaining the masses for decades, and coincidentally will converge on Wyoming's capital city. Disclosure: I've been an usher for the Cheyenne Civic Center since the 2004-05 season, but what I write and stress in this article are my own observations.

Bryan Adams and Bill Cosby Are Scheduled to Appear on Back to Back Nights at the Cheyenne Civic Center this November

On Friday November 12, Bryan Adams is scheduled to grace the stage of the Cheyenne Civic Center with his Bare Bones tour, beginning at 8 pm. He really began coming to prominence on Top 40 American radio in 1983, via songs from his Cuts Like a Knife album, tunes like Straight from the Heart and Cuts Like a Knife. Because the Bryan Adams' November 13 concert has been canceled in Greeley, Colorado, the one in Cheyenne will have more regional importance. Tickets range in price from $39-$59.

The following evening, Saturday, November 13, Bill Cosby is scheduled to appear in Wyoming's capital city at 8 pm. The outspoken comedian has done it all in the annals of comedy, from albums to a TV show ("The Cosby Show") that's considered on of the greatest situation comedies ever. Tickets range in price from $59-$69.

Another Canadian icon from the music world is set to appear just four days after Bryan Adams. A day before his 72nd birthday (according to his Wikipedia biography), Gordon Lightfoot will entertain Cheyenne Civic Center audiences at 8 pm on Tuesday, November 16. He is known for such hits like The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald , Rainy Day People, If You Could Read My Mind, Carefree Highway, and many others. He's performed for over 50 years, starting out by creating commercial jingles. Tickets range in price from $45-$65.

On Sunday, November 28, The Oak Ridge Boys are set to appear at 7 pm. This country music group had an incredible run from 1977-87, where the musicians racked up ten Gold, two Platinum, and one Double Platinum-selling albums. In 2000, the performers were inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame according to their official website. The group is expected to not only perform their classic hits, but will also do a special Christmas show full of Yuletide favorites. Tickets range in price from $34.50-$49.50.

Tickets for all these events can be purchased at the Cheyenne Civic Center link called "Events Calendar." In the event of a sellout for any performance, a waiting list is established and the box office will try to match those who want tickets with those who have extras.
