The Chicago White Sox Sign Doug Davis

Mathew Paul

Once again, Doug Davis has demonstrated the entrepreneurial spirit and never give up attitude. According to MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez, the Chicago White Sox signed pitcher Doug Davis to a minor league contract. Sanchez suggests the veteran pitcher will provide rotation depth in the minor leagues.

Davis displayed incredible courage and overcame life threatening illness, and returned to major league baseball. Earlier in the year he signed a minor league deal to pitch with the cross town Chicago Cubs. He worked his way back to the major leagues and started nine games for the Cubs. Things did not work out and the Cubs eventually released him.
