The Children of Led Zeppelin

Where Are They Now?

Angie Mohr CA CMA
Rock and blues band, Led Zeppelin, ruled stadiums from 1969 to 1980, when the sudden death of drummer, John Bonham, ended the band forever. Since then, Led Zeppelin's remaining members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John-Paul Jones have had separate musical careers and have come together occasionally to perform. During their heyday, all Zeppelin members kept a measure of privacy around their children and spouses to keep them out of the limelight. Here is an update on the public status of the children of Led Zeppelin today:

Scarlett Page
Scarlett is the daughter of Jimmy Page and long-time girlfriend, Charlotte Martin, and was born on March 24, 1971. She was conceived at Bron-Yr-Aur, the cottage in Wales where Zeppelin wrote much of their third album. Scarlett appears with mother Charlotte for a cameo in the Zeppelin movie, The Song Remains the Same. Scarlett is now a rock photographer in England, having worked for publications like Kerrang! and Spin. With her partner and fellow photographer, Tom Brown, Scarlett became a parent in 2007 with the birth of Martha Alice Page.

James Page Jr.
James is the son of Jimmy Page and Patricia Ecker, who were married in the late 80's. The couple appeared together with their son at Jason Bonham's 1990 wedding. By 1994, Page was with his second wife, Jimena. Not much is publicly known about James.

Jana, Zofia-Jade and Ashen Page
The three youngest Page children stem from Page's marriage to Jimena Gomez-Paratcha in the late 1990's. Jana was Gomez-Paratcha's child from a previous relationship and adopted by Page and Zofia and Ashen are biological children of the two. Jana was born in 1994, Zofia in 1997 and Ashen in 1999. Although Page's personal life is kept quiet, it appears that, by 2008, he and Gomez-Paratcha were divorced.

Carmen Plant
Carmen is the oldest child of Robert and Maureen Plant, born in 1968. She married Robert Plant's bass player, Charlie Jones, and they have two children. Carmen is a professional ethnic dancer stemming from her Indian background on her mother's side. Carmen, along with her brother Karac, appear in The Song Remains the Same, shown frolicking in the river at their parents homestead in Wales.

Karac Plant
Karac was born on April 22, 1971. In 1977, he became gravely and suddenly ill with a stomach virus. Mother Maureen called Robert Plant to tell him that Karac was in the hospital. Plant was on tour in New Orleans at the time. Maureen phoned him back a few hours later to tell him that Karac had died. The rest of the tour was immediately cancelled while Plant flew back to England. The Zeppelin song, "All My Love", is written for Karac.

Logan Plant
Logan was Robert and Maureen Plant's third child, born on January 21, 1979. He has followed in his father's footstep and is a singer. He is currently the lead singer of the band Sons of Albion, who have performed on both continents including at SXSE. Logan has also done modeling on occasion. His band plays regularly in London.

Jesse Plant
Jesse is the offspring of Plant from his long-standing affair with his wife, Maureen's, sister, Shirley. He was born in 1991 and is Plant's youngest child. Jesse is a drummer in a rock band and occasionally spins records at London's Ministry of Sound.

Jason Bonham
Jason was the first child born in Zeppelin on July 15, 1966 and the son of Pat and John Bonham. He has been married since 1990 and the couple has two children, Jager and Jaz. Jason has followed his father's footsteps and became a drummer, playing both as a session musician and with bands. Jason sat in for his father at the Led Zeppelin reunion performance in 2007 at London's O2 Arena. He is currently touring a multi-media presentation highlighting his father's work in Led Zeppelin.

Zoe Bonham
Zoe is Jason Bonham's younger sister. She has appeared at several Led Zeppelin tributes and awards and is a singer-songwriter in her own right. She also occasionally dj's professionally.

Jacinda, Kierra, and Tamara Jones
John Paul Jones has always been the most private member of Led Zeppelin. What is known about his family is that has been with his partner, Maureen, since the mid-1960s. Today, their children's careers encompass TV producing, animation production and massage therapy. The eldest also has a budding musical career.

Good information. It's nice to see that despite the craziness of the band, you don't hear any trash about their offspring.

Wow, great article on Zeppelin. I didn't know most of this info since, as you said, they were always a private band. Thanks!

Love the Zeppelin. One of the first albums I ever bought was "Led Zeppelin II". I still rank it as one of the best albums ever recorded. Nice report...
