The Chilean Miners Rescue: God Performed 33 Miracles

The Survival and Rescue of 33 Miners in Chile is a Miracle

Malina Debrie
"Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Mathew 19:26.

Only by God's grace and mercy did the thirty three miners (32 Chilean and 1 Bolivian) survive their ordeal. The men were trapped for sixty nine days. Their comradeship allowed them to form a system. This allowed them to work through their weaknesses, developing strength and determination which was the foundation to surviving their ordeal.

They ignored any and all differences enforcing the will to survive therby invoking the Spirit of the Lord in them to stand together in their efforts. None were allowed to give up! They felt encouraged and withstood the test awaiting the day they would see their families and loved ones again.

Do we need any other miracles to prove that God is still alive and performing miracles? He is here on this earth and as stated so boldy by Carol Whyte in her Chileans Miners Rescue article, He performed a miracle when He allowed these men to survive. The story of courage and determination of the trapped miners and those working to rescue them is heartwarming. It provides inspiration in the resilience and strength of man.

This story has reached all four corners of the world. The airways and networks are swamped with activity while everyone is trying to find information on the rescue. This story reaffirms faith in man.

While it appears that most are anxious to hear of celebrity dramatics and other uninspiring or self-glorifying information, this says something about the soul and heart of men.

The 33 men have been trapped in the collapsed mine since August 5th, 2010. After seventeen days of constant activity above ground trying to communicate with the men, contact was made and it was determined that all 33 were alive. The trapped men worked together as a team and in the spirit of love and endurance to survive their ordeal.

On October 12, 2010, the first of these 33 miners was rescued by being pulled out through a man-made shaft which was successful in penetrating the debris to reach the trapped miners.

You're kidding right? A miracle from God??? Where was he in New Zealand? Or in the 12000 other deaths a year in mines. I do feel sorry for the hundreds of people who planned and executed the rescue of the miners, seems God is taking all the credit.

Nicholas who do you think provided the knowledge and skill required to think through the issue and get those men out of their tomb?

These aren't miracles, these are engineers doing their jobs.
