The China Study, in Review

Dr. T. Colin Campbell and son explore the healing properties of plant-based foods and total nutrition. In the studies, information links diseases, specifically cancer to increasing rates of casein in our diets. Casein is in milk and all dairy products that we digest. Dr. Campbell's study goes into much detail about the particular studies and how the end conclusion to eat a plant-based diet came to fruition.

I found it quite disturbing to read that after numerous studies have been done that agencies within the government, from the Food and Drug Administration to agencies that represent production of meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products pretty much pay money or produce threats to hinder this information from reaching the public. After watching documentaries, like Food Inc, and reading books on the topic of food, including The Unhealthy Truth, I get that the government isn't necessarily out for the best natural cures for ailments, nor will they admit any specific link to disease, illness, or even obesity to the rise in genetically modified foods and continued use of soy and high fructose corn syrup in foods. However, as a consumer, I find it saddening to learn that information is kept from consumers in such a manipulated fashion.

In Dr. Campbell's book he introduces acclaimed medical doctors that have lived and practiced their entire lives and completely reversed negative effects from heart disease, diabetes, and other illnesses with nutrition.

My advice would be to reach for some fruits and veggies before popping any more pills. The studies back up these claims to nutrition being a life saver.
