The Chocolate Lover's Bucket List

What Should Every Chocolate Lover Do Before She Dies

J Budd, RN
Are you a true chocolate lover? Enough so that if you were to die tomorrow, you could face the Pearly Gates with a big grin on your face knowing you did all you could as a chocolate lover on Earth? If you are a true cocoa connoisseur, make sure you cross these 4 things off your chocolate lover's bucket list before you go.

The Chocolate Lover's Bucket List - Attend the International Chocolate Show

Essential to every chocolate lover's bucket list is to attend at least one International Chocolate Show. Now heading into its 13th year, the International Chocolate Show features exhibitors from around the world selling and demonstrating the latest in chocolate creations. I attended my first show in New York in 2000 and have gone every year since as both spectator and member of the press. The International Chocolate Show visits the following cities every year: New York, Paris, Tokyo, Moscow, Beijing, and Shanghai.

The Chocolate Lover's Bucket List - Visit Hershey, Pennsylvania

Don't consider this a trip. Consider this a pilgrimage for a chocolate lover. Hershey, Pennsylvania, was founded on the idea of bringing the decadence of chocolate to everyone. Where else in America do you have street lights with Hershey Kisses on top and street names like Chocolate Avenue? When you do go to Hershey, be sure to take the trolley ride around town. Riders get free chocolates!

The Chocolate Lover's Bucket List - Buy a very expensive box of chocolates

Mass-produced chocolates, step aside. No chocolate lover's bucket list is complete until she has splurged on a high quality high priced box of chocolate. Perhaps you would would like a 16-piece set from Godiva for $20? Or a $30 1-pound assortment from Jer's Chocolates in San Diego? Just splurge on the good stuff at least once. You're taste buds will thank you!

Not just "she," by the way. The only thing better than a whole lot of chocolate is finding a new AC source and spending the morning with a whole lot of great articles.
