Of the Savior who died for you and me
He was born in a stable and had a feed trough for a bed
Since in the inn there was no room to lay his head
Who gets the most expensive gifts is not the meaning of this day
It is about the little baby who was born in the hay
Christmas lights twinkle and trees are all aglow
Silent Night is playing soft and low
Children's eyes light up as they awake on Christmas morn'
But let us not forget on this day Who was born
A silent night and a holy night when even the shepherds came
To see the precious child who was born and Jesus is his name
