The grade:
Customer Service: C
I had to find what I was looking for all by myself, which is hard if you do not know the exact layout of a store. There were only about three associates that I saw and one of them was busy stocking shelves. Since it is pretty easy to get lost in the store, I would have expected more associates and at the very minimum an offer of assistance from one of the associates.
Price: A
I think that price is pretty comparable to what you would find online. I was able to get two brand-new copies of the book for a little over eight dollars, which is a pretty good deal these days.
Quality of Merchandise: A
The books were beautifully arranged and none of them looked to be in bad shape. The books are placed from the ceiling to the floor in order to maximize space. If you are a petite person such as myself, I recommend hoping that your book is located down below.
Amount of Merchandise: B
While there were books, calendars, magazines, and knick nacks in the store, everything seemed crammed into such a small space. They should try to be more efficient with the small space. After all, sometimes less is more when it comes to design.
Overall: B
While I felt a bit claustrophobic in the store and had to find my own book, it did not take very long and I was able to get in and out very quickly. While they have room to improve, they are not a bad option for the only major bookstore in town.
Go check out our only remaining bookstore in town and judge for yourself!

Post a CommentI like Borders and Waldenbooks. I can never find anything, and no one ever asks to assist me, so I end up having to bother them to ask questions. Most of the time they are willing to help if you bring it to their attention, though.
