The Cincinnati Nature Center: Inexpensive and Unique Attraction!

The Cincinnati Nature Center, located in Milford, just to the East of downtown Cincinnati, is a wonderful haven for city dwellers, looking for some time with Mother Nature. The Cincinnati Nature Center is one of the best kept secrets of the tri-state area. With activities and enjoyment for all ages, The Cincinnati Nature Center is a wonderful attraction in the Cincinnati area.

The Cincinnati Nature Center is just a few miles from downtown Cincinnati, and is located conveniently off of the I-275 loop on the East side of the city. Visitors to The Cincinnati Nature Center will quickly discover just how far from the city they really are, however, when they arrive on the grounds of this beautiful nature preserve.

Visitors to the Cincinnati Nature Center can enjoy a wide variety of nature-oriented activities. First of all, Rowe Woods, the main location of The Cincinnati Nature Center, boasts over 16 miles of hiking trails. These well-maintained trails offer hikers views of natural scenery, plant life, and even wildlife. In addition to the wonderful walking trails, The Cincinnati Nature Center also has a visitor center where you can ask a naturalist questions, use the free wi-fi, check out local habitats and animals, or have a cup of coffee. The visitor center also has The Nature Shop where visitors can find unique products, often made from sustainable materials.

The Cincinnati Nature Center also provides year round programs for all ages. Family activities range from moonlit walks to more traditional guided tours. Adults can enjoy bird walks, herpetology programs, animal tracking education, and more. Youth can also enjoy programs created just for them at The Cincinnati Nature Center. Some ongoing programs include Baby Adventures for ages 1-2, Earthhuggers for ages 3-5, and summer nature camps for youth of all ages.

Admission to The Cincinnati Nature Center is very affordable. Regular admission is $3 for adults Tuesday through Friday and $1 for children ages 3-12. Children under 3 are free. On Saturdays and Sundays, admission is $5 for adults but still just $1 for children. On Mondays, all individuals get into The Cincinnati Nature Center for free.

The hours that The Cincinnati Nature Center is open change seasonally. The Cincinnati Nature Center stays open longer hours in the warmer months, and when the sun stays up for longer periods.
