The Circle of Fiction

A.M. Morgan
At the center of this is a twist

Disguised friends who are really associates

People are passing time pretending to be relatively close

But behind closed doors they stab each other in the back with swords

Many exchanges are manipulated for a better play on words

So it's best to believe half of what is seen and heard

Some find refuge in speaking half truths

When the dominos fall one person wants the other person to lose

Believe this or not there is evidence in the daily news

Don't be alarmed but recognize this matter brings the blues

It's human nature or circumstance

But acknowledge drama will be born if given a chance

In the circle of fiction

There are no rules

Answers can be found buried beneath the context clues

Please remember to constantly ask yourself,

"How many real friends do I have around me if I have to choose?"

Too well written. Though I like the twist of creativity, it reflects so much about people around me. Fantastic piece. You are the best!

Real friends. We do have to ask ourself. I liked the poem. I thought that it had hit home and was very creative at the same time. I look forward to reading your others.

Very interesting piece. I notice this at my work a lot. Everybody is so nice to each other in person, but ruthless behind their back. It is foolish for me to think everybody likes me. I would hate to be in the room when they are really talking about me. You might have hit a small piece of humanity with this one.
