No, I'm not delusional. I don't believe I have super powers, although Heroes is one of my favorite TV shows. I'm just one person on a mission. But what makes a person a hero is not that they possess super powers, but rather using the power that they are given. So, how am I going to save the planet? One person at a time. What can one person, do? I don't know. Depends on the person. But I'm going to do everything that I can.
Each of us are bestowed certain gifts. Mine happens to be the gift of gab. Through this gift, I'm able to share knowledge, and, as I said before, knowledge is power. I guess that makes me a mighty powerful person. So,what's your gift?
Let me help you with that last question. Like I said before, each of us are bestowed certain gifts. A few come to mind right off the bat. Life is a gift. This planet is a gift. Children are a gift. And somehow all these gifts are intertwined, dependent upon one another to complete our circle of life.
Now where are we in that circle? When I said life, did you assume that I meant human life? That we humans are the life that completes the circle? Without human life there are no children. Without children, human life ceases to go forward. So what is left of the circle of life? The question that needs to be asked is, "What is left of our circle.?"
The planet is the only constant in the equation. It was here before us, it will be here after us. The irony is, we don't need to save the planet, we really need to save ourselves. The planet is just what we are destroying on our path of self-destruction.
So this series of articles is really about how I intend to save mankind by saving the planet. It's one of those "help me help you, which in turn helps me, which in turn helps you and so on and so on." It's a circle. Will you join me?
Today's tip: Start small. I know you're already sitting at your computer, so I'm not asking you to go out of your way to do anything. You probably use online account managers to view and pay your bills. How convenient. But have you cancelled the paper bill copies you receive by snail mail? There is absolutely no reason to receive paper bills if you have computer access. If you commit to doing just this one thing, then today. you are a hero! And with your help, I am one step closer to saving the planet! Thanks.
