Unfortunately, when I reached my teen years, I rebelled during that time of to 'confess' and all that. But having extended family was great for my childhood. I got to experiment with going to a black church; with singing and laughing and praising a completely different way I was use to at Sunday school. It didn't stop me there as well growing up. Meeting new friends, as well put a new light on different cultures of peoples religions too. Part of being a teenager for me back then was to explore and learn everything I could about life itself. I took upon myself to learn about my family and friends cultures and different religions as I could. Though I did sometimes didn't understand some religions, or what they were believing in, I did have to admit it was a different experience and I did respect it too.
Most of the religions and cultures I learned over the years ranged from catholic, baptist, Russia, German, to other such as witchcraft ( which i practice and Wicca these days ), to many others. I have to say alot of religions or cultures are misrepresented these days too. They are given the wrong true facts by other cultures, which makes it much difficult for others to understand or believe. Many followers believe as true that their own religion is the best and will do what they will to keep their people under their wing. They believe their 'faith' is the best. To me, I respect that all our religions and cultures serve the purpose we want, that we pray and have some belief. To degrade another religion shouldn't be one of them, however.
There are so many religions and cultures out in todays society today, it's so overwhelming. I don't believe in religions that endanger a human being, or yes, sorry a animal as well. If a religion must sacrifice one of them, I am a Lady who will take no part in that kind of culture. However, I am aware that their are cultures out there in this other side of the world, we don't even know what takes place, or what we wouldn't want to see with our own eyes either. Too many religions too choose, let alone which is best for one. After years of growing up, making my own mistakes and faults, I knew what religion I wanted to be with and I chose that path today. But it took me years to find that one peace of mind to find that 'faith' for me.
For others, it might be from the time you're born, or a young child, for myself its when i become older in life and find myself again. None never knows when you will be quite happy of any kind of religion or culture. Some of us may never find that true meaning at all, and just live the life of clashing with all the religions. There are so many things to believe in and not to believe in, it gets so confusing. For me its, a clash itself. Most of the religions I have explored over the years, have shown the same interest in one God, while others show different ways of a 'spiritual' way to a much more deeper need. Each religion may represent something new or different. For whatever reason, we all as well have different needs and wants, Therefore, when we know what religion and culture we most feel comfortable with, we choose the one that fits us well. Its no wonder, there are so many religions out there in this world today that just Clash.
