A coldness I cannot seem to comprehend
An unapologetic air of entitlement
That refuses to understand or bend
The thing about this meanness
Is that those who own it deem themselves pure
They see their hearts as kind and warm
For all the world's ills, they are the cure
It is funny how the coldest of cold
Find an audience to support their view
Others see them as smart and well-informed
But to me their ignorance continues to shine through
Sometimes, it is a lost battle
Sometimes, it's best to just let them be
One day the coldness will isolate their hearts
And their icy existence they will be forced to see
Down the road, they might be alone
Seeing fault in any love they might find
Their hearts now poisoned by their own venom
Their intolerance forever closing their mind
Before you find the light in intolerance
Before self-righteousness takes a hold of your heart
See the danger that lies before you
A cold heart will undoubtedly tear your life apart
