The Collie Named Stix

He Would Grow to Stand Out Within His Breed!

This collie pup started out like any other. A cute and soft, fuzzy ball of tri color, black, tan and white fur. Stix was also full of bountiful energy. No one could know, not even Stix, what he would offer in the days and years to follow his uneventful birth. He bounded a bit harder and higher than his brothers and sisters, but not that it really stood out that much. Not till later. Stix grew and grew to around six months of age, then the difference was very apparent.

He liked things in the yard that other dogs ignored. He would spot a pine log and find great joy in trying to lift it up, or drag it around the large, rock laden yard. What a sight to see, this youngster collie in full prance of pride dragging a log that was twice his size alongside himself.

He was to have floppy ears like his female collie companion. Only problem was that he would pull at them till the glue would loosen and, bam, up they would pop again. Stix's straight up ears really did convey much about his personality somehow. Once the dog door was put in, there was new fun to be had. Objects could be made to go in and out of it! Oh joy. Area rugs that fill the size of a living room were a great use of time.

They could be made to yank out that dog door if given a full day of tough teeth yanking. The pine logs could be transferred to the inside, by much hard work, but it could be done. Stix proved this time and time again. Stix was showing his immediate world that he has skills to tend with. He was not any ordinary collie. Nope, he has the strength of several collies and he is out to prove it daily. What about the dog bones that he is given?

China is not that far away is it. Just step out into his yard and find out just how close China is! Okay, that does it, Stix is going to the dog park and getting this energy run out of him. This cute as a button, fire ball of fur is going to be out of energy when he has been at the dog park for hours, right? Nope, he is just propelled further. It's as if he had gone to a service station and filled up on fuel.

His companion, left panting furiously and only wanting for a good long drink and sleep as Stix just longs for more dogs and friends to spar with. Surely at two years of age and a neutering job, Stix will be much more docile. Nope. Seems that has not done anything at all. Stix is the lean mean Super Dog machine.
