Red
Red stimulates and excites while promoting vitality, courage, and self confidence. Don't use this in huge amounts for it can bring out anger and frustration, go for the pinker tones since pink is the universal color of love.
Orange
Orange is the best stimulant for promoting joy and happiness. It creates a general sense of well being and cheerfulness. Again, don't use this too much for in large amounts it can cause people to feel uncomfortable. Orange can help in mending a broken heart as well as it won't allow you to linger in the past.
Yellow
This sunny and purifying color helps improve communication between two people. Yellow is also the color of new life or in this case, new 'love' life. This is the perfect color to wear for attracting the perfect partner. It stands for confidence, charm and attraction. Intense or bright yellow can be stressful and cause nervousness in some people, so I would use something mellow or pastel.
Green
Green has long been used as the color to denote fertility and longevity. Just as the heart chakra is green, this color stands for kindness, unconditional love, compassion and commitment. This is a very, very healing color and can help release whatever walls are keeping your lover from giving themselves completely.
Blue
Blue soothes and cools. It gives peace, calm, harmony, satisfaction, bliss, oneness, and understanding. Blue is also very uplifting. Deeper blues are better for communication and brighter ones for inspiration. Too much blue can be depressing and isolating, so be careful not to overload.
Indigo
And finally we come to the royal and gorgeous color of indigo (purple). Purple is the color of passion and this can be traced back to Roman times when the allure of succulent plump grapes, often lead elsewhere. If you have an intimate date coming up; add grapes to the menu, burn elegant deep purple candles and/or place rich indigo toned pillows on the bed. Where red used in huge quantities in love situations can cause tempers, you are safe with purple and it still has the same meaning behind it. Indigo and Blue are best for long-term commitment whereas Green is for short-term.
