Sound impossible? Sound like the ravings of a rightwing crazy person? Maybe, but you better start thinking again. The fact is, we are about to turn a corner that will result in an America that our children will not recognize. It is interesting that many in our country do not see it: I call it the "Blinder Effect". When you have been taught to ignore looking at common sense all your life, it is hard to see past what has been forced down your throat. I ask you to ponder on some things.
I grew up in a very Democrat party-loyal household. I know what I experienced is the truth. My parents told me constantly that the Democrats were for working Americans and the poor and the Republicans were for the rich. I experienced the growing hatred of the Republican Party. Nixon and Watergate helped feed it. I learned not to question any of it. But I knew there was something wrong. I knew that I had to keep an open mind and explore the reasons why. I stayed impartial, not joining any party. I watched and listened to the rhetoric, the speeches, the debates. I also watched my own experiences. And I found that things were different than I was being told. I began to understand and think for myself. I began to recognize that people were being fooled. Most of it was coming from the Democrat Party.
Here is what I observed and deduced. I noticed that while Democrats were telling me they were for the working American, they were taking more money from me. I looked at my shrinking paychecks as proof and wondered why. I had been told, as we are being told by Joe Biden now, that we were supposed to pay higher taxes because it showed we "cared" for those people that didn't have as much. We were helping the disenfranchised, the people who could not fend for themselves, those who had been ignored or even discriminated against and not given an even chance. I began to wonder: if this was the case, then why were so many people simply accepting that they would NEVER have a chance, that they could depend on the government for the rest of their lives? I now understand that the same people (and their offspring) that were on government dependence forty years ago are pretty much still on that dependence today. So, has the Democrat Party helped rid us of poverty, as they said they would? Of course not! Has our hard-earned money helped these people realize the American Dream, or even get close to it, as was intended? No. Can you see the reasoning?
As I grew older, my observations became more confusing. One of my jobs was to recruit for a "home correspondence school", meant to help individuals learn new skills and start careers, with the help of federal financial aid. I then continued to receive shocks to my brain as to what the true intentions were. Many of these people I would interview told me that either they did not want to work, or that they would take advantage of the government money to go to school simply because it was all free. Many of them told me that they had no intentions of working - ever! Many told me that "why should I work and have to pay taxes when I can receive money for doing nothing but having children?" This was not a racial thing; this was shared by many I met from every ethnic group, and they all had something in common: they had been convinced that they were being made and kept poor because of the Republicans. Yes, a growing hatred of the right had even been introduced in the poor neigborhoods of urban America! I met and talked with people who cultivated my awareness of the craziness of "liberalism". One particular single mom told me that she didn't ever plan on working as long as she could receive financial aid to go to school, even though she never finished a degree. She would just drop out and go to another school. Another, after waiting at her home to show her our programs, finally arrived after she had cashed here welfare check and spent it all on lottery tickets. I heard many similar stories from virtually hundreds of applicants. I could only scratch my head.
Then came the Reagan Years. I couldn't understand what all the hooplah was all about, but I knew my parents weren't too happy. As I moved from one career to another, I began to question my own values and beliefs. What was the truth and what wasn't? Which party, if either, was telling the truth? How could I believe them if it was assumed that most politicians lie? Years have mellowed me in knowing strongly what I believe, and what I see. My eyes are open, but most of you may not accept it.
The fact is, what I have been told in political terms is not true. My indoctrination did not take, did not hold. I can think and reason for myself. My experiences are plain and simple. Democrats I know are the racists, not Republicans. I have never heard any of my conservative friends use the "N" word or tell racial jokes. I have heard these things only from the mouths of Democrats. I have not heard "hate" from Republicans either. I have heard great amounts of hate language come from Democrats. I have heard a comedienne, Sandra Bernhart ( I don't mind spelling her name wrong since she has no respect from me), explain that if VP candidate Sarah Palin came to Manhattan to participate in a United Nations meeting, she would have some of her "big, black friends gangrape her". Those are her words. I heard Pamela Anderson say, when asked about Palin, say "tell her to go suck it." What? I have not heard, to a "T", any Republican use this kind of language towards the Democrat candidates. I have experienced great scrutiny on the part of the media in digging up dirt (and not finding any legitimate) on Sarah Palin, sending thirty researchers to Alaska to dig. I have not heard any scrutinizing done towards Barack Obama's relationships with a known terrorist, a white-hating reverend, or advisors who profited greatly from the demise of real estate giants Fanny Mae and Freddy Mack. In George W. Bush's first election I experienced true hatred by Democrats when I was told that they would punch Bush in the mouth if given the chance. Or they would do bodily harm. I have never heard any Republican I know say something to the effect that they would "beat up" a Democrat. From Chelsea, to Bill Maher, to Al Franken, I have heard nothing but hateful things said about Republicans. I can only judge that there is an obvious double-standard for Democrats.
Now for the real problem. If most Democrat Americans will ignore the radical ties that Senator Obama has, will they also ignore the agenda that is being forwarded? I ask, why will Democrats believe anything and everything they are told by Democrat politicians, even though they have proven to be less than trustworthy? It is a fact that only Democrats PROFITED from the demise of Fanny Mae and Freddy Mack. This has been made public, and it is hard to suppress. Why are gaffes publically made by the Democrat candidates ignored, even when they are numerous, and the few gaffes told by Republicans announced and focused on by the mainstream media? Why are the Repubicans, especially George W., blamed for the present economic crisis when it is obvious that the Democrat Party was responsible? And why is Acorn's 14 state plus investigation into voter fraud seem not to be covered by the media when it was shown to be a Democrat funded organization? After years of observing and listening, it is pretty apparent to me what has happened, and it scares me. My daughter should be worried about her future because it is being formed and molded by events that seem unreal and illogical.
If you read any Marxist or radical publications, you find that what is happening here is clear. Our move to the left, to the socialist, even communist, side is progressing at an alarming rate. We are being led to a very radical, leftist future where we will not have any voice, any control. It started in the sixties and has been a constant drumbeat into the present day. You only have to read the current Communist Party's opinions to interpret the coming political change. Obama's change is coming, all right, but I doubt now that many Americans understand it. When the Communists actually voice an enthusiasm on the Democrat candidates election, even though they will not actually announce their endorsement (they never do), you have to wonder where we are going. When the Democrat candidate publicly admits the "redistribution of wealth" as Kar Marx would stress, you have to question where we are headed. And when you have a candidate that obviously has no economic, business, or leadership experience at all to become President, you have to wonder. That is why I am fearful of what my daughter is going to see when she reaches adulthood. What kind of "American dream" will she be able to pursue?
It comes down to this: do we really want to become a Socialist country, or do we want to remain a capitalist and democratic society? Do we want to do as Obama plans to do and continue to take from Americans who have earned and achieved their living and give to those who do not want to even try, or do we want to return to our capitalist past and permit human achievement, motivation, and success? It is quite apparent to me that our way of life is being assaulted. We are on the brink of total annihiliation of the democratic process, and many Americans do not realize that they are playing a willing role in this. I grew up in an environment where one party taught subervience and total loyalty to party lines. If you are a Democrat you need to ask yourself if you understand what the party is demanding of you. I have observed it, and I have been a product of it, and every individual who grew up in this kind of experience needs to think about it. My intention here is not to incense longtime Democrats into thinking that they are being insulted. My intention is to reach a state of awareness that the party that we knew no longer exists. The party of JFK, FDR, or Harry Truman died many years ago. It has been infiltrated by radicals and self-serving politicians who have no one's interests in tow except their own. Think about how the Congress under Nancy Pelosi and others has ignored our call for drilling, for seeking and pursuing other forms of energy, and has profited from the demise of our economic system by enriching themselves through Fanny Mae and Freddy Mack while we pay the bill. I assure you that if Barack Obama is elected president, we will never bring the people responsible for the financial mess to court, we will never regain our prosperity, and we will lose many more freedoms. We have already seen how close the U.S. Constitution was overturned with this last case of our right to own guns. Our right to the freedom of speech has already been limited with the leftist domination of the media and their purposeful effort to make Barack Obama's election inevitable. Think about how many rights we have lost in the past twenty years and how this was all done. Or perhaps you can close your eyes and continue to "hate" the right.
I ask you this: if your are voting against McCain because you truly believe that Barack Obama has your best interests in hand, and that his many "promises" are believable, than so be it. If you are voting, as I believe and have heard myself, because you have a nurtured hatred of everything Republican, and everything conservative, than you need to think hard on your decision. I am also not afraid of the consequences. If you call me a racist because I refuse to vote for Obama, then I will tell you that you are beyond help, and that you are fatally wrong. John McCain has only "served" his country as few have ever served. Do I agree with everything he proposes? No, but he is highly qualified to lead. What hs Barack Obama done? Look and research, and you will find that his efforts even in Chicago have proven failures. As a "community organizer" his housing complexes are all boarded up and condemned, and the person he befriended to help is in prison and actually financially profited from it. You need to start opening your eyes, and you need to get over what you have been raised to believe.
Finally, if you do not want to listen to me, look into your hearts. Do you think that government is the answer to the human condition, or is it humans themselves? Since when has government and politicians ever solved the world's problems? Read some of the history of Nazi Germany, or Fascist Italy, or worse yet, Soviet Russia under Stalin, and compare with what we believe. I believe that we live in the greatest country that has ever existed. I have firsthand experience on what we could be headed for. I visited Romania at the time it was a socialist, communistic country. If socialism and communism are so great, why did the Romanian people eventually rise up against their own rulers and execute them on public television? Why did the Soviet Union collapse? And why is the American Communist Part foaming at the mouth for a socialist to win the White House? I truly want my daughter to grow up in a democratic, free enterprise society, and many of you are going to decide that. Please, think about your vote. Think! Our country depends on it!!
