The Computer Game

J
There was a boy
Playing a computer game.
It was not a toy,
To the lad bound for fame.

As he continued to train,
Each task became more free.
The ease was without strain,
And he performed with glee.

But soon came the real test.
Martians invaded the earth!
We needed our best
To overcome the aliens' worth.

The boy became a man
And immediately took control.
He already had a plan
Saving the world was his role.

With no hesitation,
He fired the first shot!
The invaders' reaction
Was definitely hot!

The galactic war raged,
And the boy dodged and fired.
Soon the spacemen were caged
In crates that were hot-wired.

The boy returned home
To a hero's parade.
Afterwards, he didn't roam,
But instead, hit the arcade.
