The Consequences of Taking in Strays in Need

There are people in this world that would surround themselves with drama. It's almost like a form of control for their lives. When things are not going their way they have to cause a ruckus in others lives to have some sort of control. They are everywhere, people we try and help, people we work with, and even people walking down the street.

The theory which I have come to grips with is that when they have no stability and control in their own lives the creation of chaos in others lives makes them feel as they have that control. This is a serious problem that is caused on a daily basis and those causing the chaos either does not know or does not care what or who it affects and how.

For example a classic type of this behavior is the following story. A young woman came to a family with a good tear jerking story about parents not wanting her and growing up in foster homes. The family felt sorry for the young woman, allowing her to be welcomed into the family. Her and her boyfriend lived not too far away. Neither was working steady so a lot of help was organized within the small community to help them prepare for the baby that was soon to be.

Warning signs began to show up and accusations started being made toward the family who opened their heart and home to the expectant couple. It all was forgiven and forgotten. Then after the birth of the baby the father of her died unexpectedly. Rumors flew around about what it could have been. That he had died of a heroin overdose. The family who had tried so hard to help made the decision to tell the young woman to stay away. The company she was keeping was not a welcome affair. Although she swore that she was not involved in any of the activities, the family was a firm believer that birds of a feather flock together.

Many months passed the young woman never came around. She would be seen here and there with the same circle of people. The baby left with whomever she could be left with. Then a change came. She met a new man and things seemed to be working out for her. She asked if she could be forgiven by us and come around to visit. The baby even knew the family as mama and papa. The young woman looked healthier and happier than ever before. The new man in her life seemed nice. So the family willing allowed her to come around to visit.

Many more months passed and then the worst thing that could have possible happen did. The young woman accused the family's 13 year old son of molesting the baby. It was reported the baby examined and the son was never charged. The story was they were over visiting and the son was asked to put a cartoon in for the baby to watch. He was setting on the floor and the baby was on the couch that folded into a bed. The baby's mother walked into the room and started screaming wanting to know what he was doing. He stood up and pulled his pants up from where they had drooped down from being to big on him.

The father of the boy was 10 feet away and remained adamant that she was over reacting and nothing was going on. The story started with the boy pulling his pants up to he was pulling his pants up and trying to pull the baby's clothes off. The final version of the event that went to the police and children's services was his pants were completely down around his ankles and he was taking the baby's cloths off.

The family took the boy to children's services to be interviewed about the event. The hospital could find nothing wrong with the baby. The investigator was confident that he would have the case closed right after Thanksgiving. Instead it has been lengthened because the young woman has now went and made more accusations saying that the sister told her that he sets around and has sex with stuffed animals and that the parents have knowledge of it and allow him to do so. The case is still pending.

On the other hand we have the young mother and her boyfriend, his family and her "friends" and anyone else worked into a frenzy over the alleged event. Offering to pay people to "get" the boy and his family and hurt them because they all deserved to be punished.

Living in a small community is what the family had wanted to raise their children in so it would be a safer environment. With a population of about 400 everyone knows everyone and everyone hears everything. The family now fears for their son's safety and it have come to the point that if GOD himself told the girl that no harm had come to the baby, it does not matter anymore.

The boy although never charged can not walk down the street, goes to the library, park or anywhere else. The eldest sister is also being harassed by the accusations made by the woman about the boy. It has come to the point of being so far out of control that the children may have to be pulled from school and homeschooled. The unfairness of the situation can not be comprehended.

This young woman who has never had control of anything in her life now has control over a family and a community. Feeding off of that power escalation of the situation is imminent. Although law enforcement has been contacted and complaints filed about the harassment and threats nothing can be done yet because it is just talk and words. It has to just be put on the record.

The purpose of this story is that people of this nature show a pattern and hopefully those who read this story while look for the warning signs and keep those such as the young woman as far as away from possible. When someone is falsely accused of a horrible crime such as described in this story it can ruin lives even if that person is not charged or found guilty. The thought will always and forever remain in some peoples minds.
