The Controversial Upsets of the 2007 VMA Awards

By now the whole world has obviously heard about Britney Spears disappointing performance that opened the 2007 VMA's.After a few years of hiatus everyone was eagerly anticipating the come back of the once fierce pop princess.Red Carpet interviews buzzed with support and excitement from performers such as Mary J. Blige to MTV host John Norris.

The stage was set for a alluring performance that we all know she is capable of,her new song exciting and fresh but,Britney herself left onlookers in a state of be-wilderness.Her facial expressions showed a side of her that her many faithful fans are just not used to and sadly it was evident.Being viciously slung through the tabloids and exposed in every way possible,recently divorced from slacker ex-hubby Kevin Federline and the mother of two young boys she does indeed have a lot on her plate but,she is a performer and that sort of stuff should be left backstage.Britney's performance at the VMA's this year could very well have been a big step backwards for her.

What do you get when you cross Pamela Anderson's ex husbands?A VMA brawl.Apparently Motley Crue's drummer Tommy Lee slurred a few foul words about Kid Rock which of course did not settle well with the rowdy rocker.Kid walked over to Tommy first slapping him then punching him and before Tommy even had a chance to fight back the two had been quickly contained from in house security.Both Kid and Tommy were removed from the venue.

Kid was cited for misdemeanor battery but was not taken into custody only issued a summons to return to Las Vegas for a later court date.The so called "Love Triangle" between Kid Rock,Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee was staged to explode from the get go and this was not the first altercation between Kid and Tommy and it probably will not be the last.

The Red Carpet "Fashion Police" was in full status alert this year.A few that made the worst dressed list were Pamela Anderson,Lil Mama,Travis Barker and Beyonce Knowles.Besides looking like some 50's window covering Pam Anderson's dress would obviously fit better on a 12 year old girl.New rap artist Lil Mama seemed to be trick or treating a bit early this year,her baby doll outfit complete with bonnet and pacifier seemed to be a bit more on the creepy instead of on the cute side.

Travis Barker drummer for Blink 182 obviously forgot that 1,000's of people watch to see whose wearing what on the Red Carpet and stuck to simple threads a no sleeve t-shirt and pants.R and B artist and actress Beyonce Knowles looked as though she bunched up some gold la may fabric put a belt around it and called it a dress or maybe she was preparing for a Toga after party?

There you have it some unforgettable 2007 VMA moments,soon there will be other celebrity upsets but,these will down in history for years to come. So,Britney we can't wait for you to try again only next time make it more believable that you are actually interested in performing.Kid and Tommy get over it,Pam dumped both you,maybe you should just go party instead of fight?The celeb fashion victims,take a look in the mirror before heading out the door to any major event because everyone will be taking note of what you are wearing ,even if you don't.
