The Correct Way to Use Register Rewards at Walgreens

Using register rewards is fairly easy however; some people still get confused on what is allowed and what is not. I am going to share some very simple tricks that will make your shopping experience at Walgreens a delightful one and help you to use the register rewards correctly.

Register rewards are basically just a manufacturer coupon from the company whose products you purchased. These are meant to be used on your next visit to Walgreens, and can be used on most items in the store. Each reward has the exclusions printed on them.

Next remember that you can not use two manufacture coupons for one product. If you are buying for example toothpaste and you have a coupon for 1.00 off. You can not purchase the toothpaste using the coupon and the register reward. Since that would be considered using two manufacture coupons for one item. An easy way to remember is to have one coupon per product.

If you are buying a product that is going to issue a register reward, it is important not to use a register reward from that company to pay for the product. For example if you purchased a bar of Dial Soap last week and received a $1.00 register reward, than today you want to purchase Dial Body Wash that will give you a $2.00 register reward. If you would pay using the $1.00 register reward the register will not produce the $2.00 reward. It is called looping and companies do not allow it. The cashier checking you out has no control over it; it is all from the manufacture of the product you are purchasing.

Also when you are using coupons and register rewards you can never receive money back. Walgreens will not give you money back if your balance is negative. So if you buy something use coupons and the amount due is -1.00. Walgreens will not let the sale complete, you will have to add a product to your order for the number to be positive.

Register rewards are a great way to try new products, get products that you normally use for less money. Following a few simple rules will help to make your shopping trip hassle free and keep you coming back for the great deals that can be found.
