Witch School moved to Central Illinois in 2003 with the belief that we needed to lower our costs in order to develop the site and our teachings. We needed to lower our day-to-day costs and the demands they placed on us so we could focus more time on the site, the teaching methods, and overall take more of our resources to build something fantastic. To the degree that we have that worked so well, and better than we thought. In 2010, we are a global group, with lots of components. We accomplished the goals we set out when we came out of Chicago to Central Illinois.

The very thing we sought out to help us, the low cost of living had a price. It is called Isolation. In the Midwest, we are over 3 hours away from a major airport and a major city. So while we can work privately, and we can live affordably, we could not get to people as easily. Every time we traveled it has become a major outing. This has limited our real time access to people and created us to be somewhat isolated.

Salem, Mass. the Witch City will be less isolated, and in fact, sits on top of two major assets. The first is Logan Airport, which will allow us to travel more freely. The Airport is less than an hour away on a busy day. This offers us opportunities to actual travel to meet people in a way our old HQ did not, and people can come to us.

The other treat is the Corridor from Boston to Washington Dc, and it extends north and south of that as well. Basically we will be able to travel the east coast, where we have lots of people, who we can visit. It will allow us to do more with groups, for Magick TV, for the Correllian Tradition, for Witch School and for ourselves. The Corridor has high speed trains, as well as Amtrak trains, and also highways and expressways that can carry us to meet people. The ability to visit New York, Baltimore, Washington DC, Virginia Beach easily and simply offers us a chance to get Don out to people who have asked. This is a amazing chance to make a way to see people.

We can also seriously look at Philadelphia and other locations. This is great way for us, and we are feeling that we will be able to use Salem, not only as a destination but a base to travel from that will free us and lower our costs as well. We can even look at Europe and African travel a little more seriously. For us, this is a great opportunity to become more involved with communities. This is a hidden asset, not as visible in the hoopla of Salem and something we lack in Central Illinois.

Another reason for our move.
