The Cost of Bedbugs for Apartments Houses and Retail/lodging
Getting Bedbugs Treated Properly is a Huge Investment and Requirement
While getting my apartment's regularly-maintained pest-control service, from Reggie, at J & J Exterminators (Firefox browser), it seemed as good of a time as any to ask about the cost of professional extermination of pests like the nefarious bedbug. I offered him that were he able to share, I'd put a plug in with him as my source, and he he thus explained (paraphrased, of course, with only minor quotes as there was no notepad):
Bedbugs are a time-consuming problem.
To properly treat any location professionally for the extermination of bedbugs, the professional exterminator of your choosing needs to get into your home, and follow a step-by-step process. They will need to get in your way, interrupt whatever you're working on at the time, and temporarily take over your apartment/house/dwelling/work space/retail location. To take one's money is one thing, but bedbugs take up a chunk of the time of our lives, which we can't replace.
Bedbugs cost apartment dwellers around $2,000 per treatment.
My buddy Reggie goes on to share that an apartment treatment of bedbugs runs around $2,000 for one proper, professional treatment for extermination. He also continues to point out, with a grin, that people pay the bill, willingly. I found myself happy for him, too. Everybody deserves to make bank for their work.
Bedbugs cost homeowners considerably more.
Houses are another story entirely. While he was sharing the pricing information on professional extermination, clarification came as "So, you're saying a house costs $2,000 for treatment?" "No. That's $2,000 just for an apartment like this." Seeing as he and I were in an apartment, it's logical he deduce I'm asking about rates for exterminating bedbugs, for myself. Reggie explained a house requires not only a larger consideration in price, unfortunately, they also take considerable more time. Always the professional, he declined to quote a number, without being able to look at the job. It's at this point I realize Reggie would likely make this company's nearly ideal spokesperson for marketing campaign, as it's off to the next regular exterminator service customer.
Professional pest extermination of bedbugs is a requirement for business owners.
Merchants, businesses, services, and lodging facilities blighted by the pesky critters are expected to have the extermination performed professionally and expertly, with plenty of documentation and signatures and initials at various points. Proof like having infestations treated right can save a business from shutting their doors.

Post a CommentThinking about bedbugs is abhorrent to me. Good reminder with people visiting through the holidays. Make them leave their suitcases outside. lol.
I am a little gun shy when it comes to staying at a hotel now.
These scumbag spammers are comically desperate. Let's see them get enough business to fix their teeth. Freaking scumbag spammer jackasses.
Yuk!
I worry about these little ugly bugs - we travel so much - I do check every hotel room carefully leaving my suitcase in the car and if I have flown I put it in the bathtub when I enter the room then I check the whole room and never ever put the suitcase on the bed. If I have to stack them on top of each other on the rack I do so.
Oh yuck! What next - I cannot imagine the horror of a bedbug invasion in my home! cheers (I am thankful that we do not have to deal with that this Thanksgiving!) cheers
Good article. I'm paranoid about these things!
Interesting! So bed bugs can put a bite on your wallet as well!
Stumble Upon this, please. Thank you.
good article, Donald!
