The Course of Christ

Jeffrey L. Campbell
Jesus - the Christ - Emmanuel - God came to Earth as man
His purpose in the Father's will - set before time began
His earthly life began as Babe - born from a virgin's womb
Not with great pomp - no trumpet sound - no fanfare - no room
He fed the poor with bread and fish - poor spirits He fed too
With Bread of Life and Living Water - nothing else would do
The unclean lepers He made clean - He healed the withered hand
He touched the blind so they could see - He made the crippled stand
He healed the deaf - so they could hear - The Good News of the LORD
At Lazarus' grave the Savior wept - then raised him with His Word
He stilled the wind and raging storm and walked upon the sea
With God's own pow'r He cast out demons - setting spirits free
He told us how to talk to God and how in turn to hear
The loving voice of our dear LORD - whenever we draw near
He told us not to worry or be weighted down with care
Just to trust Him with life's sorrows - our burdens He would share
The Son of God came here to die and taught us how to live
He bore our sins and paid death's price - that God could man forgive
Christ showed the world how we should walk - in true humility
Then as the proof of his pure love - He went to Calvary
He prayed forgiveness from the cross - for those who nailed Him there
His life in vict'ry - He laid down - into His Father's care
A crown of thorns instead of gold and jewels on His brow
The King of kings who died for all - is crowned in Glory now
He proclaimed triumphant - "Finished!" - life's perfect course He'd run
Both sin and death defeated now - Christ's work on earth was done
The tomb is bare in which Christ lay - the stone's been rolled away
The Lamb of God - now Risen LORD - the Truth - the Life - the Way

My friend, this is superb. Just revisiting it to tell you this is sermon material that is most excellent and blows away anything I've ever done behind a pulpit. You are running the course God has planned for you.

Remember. It is a commandment. Remember. Take stones and place them. Remember. Speak these words day in and day out. Remember. Thank you, Jeffrey, for helping us to remember.
