First of all, has anyone noticed that the economy is getting worse instead of better? This is because Wall Street, investors, and business executives are not dummies. They know what President-elect Obama has in store for them and they are taking the only logical action they can take: they are protecting their wealth. Layoffs, cuts in spending, the moving around of money: these are all things that people and organizations do to save what they have. Also, how many of you have asked your Congressional officials about the billions of dollars of bailout money and where it is all going, or where it has aleady gone? There are already reports that the money has not been used for what it was intended for. Should anyone be surprised? And should anyone be surprised that these "leaders" are already asking for more money, more bailouts, and more legislation to deal with all of this mess? It will not stop until either we refuse to send them anymore (which is supposedly unlawful) or the entire house of cards collapses, namingly our economy. That is what it will do.
These so-called "leaders" that we have entrusted our welfare to, if anyone is checking, are the very same people who made the mess in the first place. Why is no one asking that people like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd be investigated for the Fanny Mae and Freddy Mack fiasco? If anyone was paying attention, there are documents and recordings of these Democrats stating years ago that there was nothing wrong with these organizations. As money was being "taken" out of these companies and being placed in bank accounts of prominent Democrats (I have yet to find a Republican's name on the list of reciipients) Americans were being told that all of this was okay. We were being "hosed" and they were robbing taxpayers by what they were doing with all of that money. It always baffles me how Democrats love to spend money. Republicans have been doing it in recent years too, but they learned it from the Dems. There is never enough money spent on projects and social programs, but we tend to bite the bullet and send them more. If we refuse, we are told that we are not doing our "patriotic duty" or that we are heartless. But here is the awful truth: if you spend money on a program and it isn't working, by spending even MORE money you don't get better results. When the average American learns this, or accepts this, we will stop our politicians in their tracks.
We are constantly told by our politicians that we need to give them more and more of our money. We were also told that the rich are not paying enough. Look at the figures. If you do the math you will never ever be able to make the numbers work. If you keep taking from the wealthier individuals and throwing that money away, then you will eventually run out of wealthy people to take from, and then what? Where will the money come from? If you are using common sense, you will see that it will either come from other "citizens", the only ones working (with income or jobs) or it will stop coming at all. This is, you got it, the "Middle Class", which President-elect Obama has promised will not be taxed further. Guess again! If you do the math with his desired programs, he will not be able to tax enough "wealthy" people to raise over a trillion new funds he will need to fulfill his promises. And how much money do you think will really go to fulfilling these promises? For every dollar raised, a large portion of that goes to administrative costs. Do you know what that is in government? It is the paychecks and bank accounts of the elected officials and their employees. Yes, this is our "politicians" that will take this money. They want us to feel good about giving them money because we are dedicated, patriotic Americans who, after giving away large sums of our hard-earned cash, are expected to "feel good" about it. Isn't that a great feeling, though?
To prove this point on "feeling good" about taxes and giving our politicians or money with few questions asked, I would like you to try something. The next paycheck you get, go to the bank and cash it (or take it out of the bank if it is direct deposit), then take it home with you. Bundle it all up, and with matches or a lighter, set it all on fire. Do you feel good after you do it? This is exactly what we are doing with tax money. We give to our elected officials, they spend it, and we never see the full results of how it is spent or where it goes. We also do not see that it does not all go to what it is supposed to go to. This is why our "elected officials" keep telling us they don't have enough and we need to give them more, or that we need to take more from the rich.
Here is another thought. Are not most nationally known "politicians' also rich? Most of them have investments, holdings in varous funds and organizations, and earnings that are much greater than most of us have or earn. In their need for money, do they ever give any of this up? Are they doing their "patriotic duty" and giving some of that money up, or at least giving it up for the good of the country? No!! They are not part of the "rich" that is going to be taxed. This is power gone mad, and we simply accept it and let it happen.
Secondly, now the election is over, who is Barack Obama? Not what we have been fed by the media, or by followers of his; who is this man? We were not allowed to know, and not allowed to ask questions before. Will we be allowed now? I doubt it, although I have seen and heard some mystifying things in the past two weeks. It is amazing to hear someone like Tom Brokaw, one of the most famous anchors of news in television today, state only hour after the election that he would like to know something about the President-elect, that there is much we don't know about him. Hello!!! There are some who were telling us, but we were being told they were racists or hate-mongerers. It is now too late to know the truth, even if it is harmful. I even saw a tape recording of Reverend Wright spitting out his hate and anger that had not been shown before on television. When in the past did the journalists of any network or newspaper suppress information about any political candidate like they did in Los Angeles with the tapes of then Senator Obama standing and praising a well-known Palestinian who wants to destroy Israel, a sovereign nation? When did Americans ever get to see real journalism at work when recordings of then candidate Barack Obama mentioned that he had few dealings with such people like William Ayres, even though later other recordings of him sitting on boards with Ayres and doing speeches about his relationships began to surface? How many Americans actually were treated to the tape where Democrat nominee Barack Obama states to his elitist friends in San Francisco that people in Pennsylvania "cling to their guns and religion" when they don't agree with others who are different from them? I have heard many of his gaffes, especially the ones where he says one thing and then later says the exact opposite. Political expediency is practiced by most running for office, but not as much as President-elect Obama has done. He has made a profession of it.
Now for the final point. In an interview that Obama did that has been only heard on conservative talk radio, he states that his belief is that the U.S. Constitution is basically defective, that it does not give "judges' enough power to do the things they need to do. In the same conversation he says something to the effect that it limits government from helping those who do not share in the prosperity or wealth that others have. The statement bares an objective that President-elect Obama has when he takes office; the overturning of the U.S. Constitution. Sound absurd? Don't bet on it! Look t recent events and statements made by others. This has been a long process in the making, and it is a "liberal planned conspiracy" to scrap the Constitution and rewrite it to new, more restrictive terms. The Democrat Party has been planning this for more than fifty years, perhaps even longer.
The first two Amendments are the first to go. Freedom of speech? It has been under attack for years, and it has been increasingly under attack during this campaign season. Since when are you not allowed to criticize a candidate because of what he or she says and does? Since when has a normal American been investigated by a political party because he asked a question that a certain candidate did not like? I have even heard of children being scolded by their teachers and even other students because they were supporting the "other" candidate. Is this free speech? And what about the upcoming promise of the "Fairness Doctrine" that Democrats want to bring back? How fair is it when everyone and anyone who listens to the radio can simply change the station or turn it off if they hear something they don't like or agree with? Is forcing broadcasting to air something that people do not want to hear a profitable and reasonable demand? Where were the "fairness" people when the American public was being bombarded with propaganda and rhetoric from one side of the political debate and not the other? Even some high-ranking Democrats announced their "embarassment" on how the Obama campaign was being overwhelmingly covered by the mainstream media!
The other Amendment that is going to be under fire is 'possession of firearms" which we all know is a touchy subject. There is a reason why our founding fathers put that in there, and we are seeing an assault on it. If Democrats gain their sixty seats in the Senate ( and questionable practices are going on right now to assure that this happens ) and the new President has free reign to nominate and pass through liberal Supreme Court Justices and lower court justices, the end of a free America will be at hand. You see, the writers of our Constitution made checks and balances so that no one party of group of individuals could gain power absolutely. That will be wiped out by these factors. That will give extreme radicals the power they need to "change" America the way few Americans realize. We will see an end to the Constitution, the end to freedoms, the end to prosperity. Then watch out! The next thing that we will lose is our freedom to vote, and that will come shortly. Wake up, America, before it's too late. You need to use your voices and tell them no!! Or we are looking truly at the "United Soviet States of America". Wake up; its really not too late, but it's getting close.
