It's a small dark room, with two broken windows. When you step on the dusty wooden floor it makes the sound of a very squeaky scream. Also the room is filled with spider webs, and creatures, which hide in the shadows of the night sky. Monsters, which creep behind you at night when you are sleeping and they suck your soul out. You do not hear or see them but you know they are there. They are dark creatures who can take shape of anything. That is why I keep my attic door closed because I know were they live, they live in the attic, which is right over my head. But I know that each night they go under the door and try to take my soul. This is why I keep a night light on a little table next to my bed and a flashlight under the covers of the bed of which I lie with my eyes open knowing that there is something lurking in the shadows of the attic heading for my room. I hope that some day those creatures of the dark would disappear forever. Every day I think of what I can do to keep them away. I even go to the library and check out books on creatures, witches, and goblins. But I never find something that could help me against these awful creatures. May I wonder till the day I die? If I ever find out I'll write it down so all the other children will know that they can defeat them. And if I defeat them and I die I will live happily in the heavens. -Fifty years later-. I have found a way to defeat these creatures. After years of studying I have found out that the only way to defeat them is to let them take your soul, when they take it you will find yourself in a dark version of the world, where dark fairies and wizards live. I must find the wizard named the Light Wizard. Then I must ask him very nicely if I could have the light potion then I must stand in the center of the dark world and open the top of the container and light will spread over the sky and will turn the dark creatures in to silver unicorns that will roam the world for years to come. And I did just that.

Oh wow, well sometimes it just takes a while to go away because the dark can be a scary thing! I am sure he will get over it soon, but it may just mean that your son has a big imagination! He must be a good writer too then :-) I am glad you liked my story. I wrote it when I was your son's age :-P
Great view! My son is still afraid of the dark, I will show this story to his step father who seems to think he should be over it by now, my son just turned 10.
haha Thank you, yeah everyone was scared of the dark at one point in their childhoods. Thank you for the comment.
That's a great take on something that everyone faces as a child (in some way or another). Personally, I don't want the dark creatures to leave me alone... I enjoy being scared every now and then.
Thank you very much!
Nice job. I like the format you used for the story.
