Some say He walked on water and came from heaven
To me He walked with both feet on the earth
Others claimed he was not a man, but the Lord Himself
Yet he grew tired and needed rest
He was hungry and needed to eat
His body could suffer
He worked as a carpenter
And came from Nazareth
Yet His soul was heavenly
And when I looked into His eyes
I peered into a spiritual sea
And there did witness the power of His soul
It flew like angels upon the clouds of wisdom
And sang with beauteous resounding prayers
To melt one's heart
And no man who had thus seen Him as I
Could turn away or deny the truth of His Revelation.
When He spoke
The melody of His words softened all hearts
And took away the pain that lingered there
In my dreams I would bathe in the water of His words
And see in the darkness of the night
I would find myself where no sickness could come upon me
Neither any sad word effect my smile
Or tear from me the joy of the fragrant vapors
Wafting o'er the meadow of His love.
And when He cried from the sadness of what other men do
Their godless waywardness and corruption
It was as if the whole world was weeping
He often told us to be like little children
Like the spring flowers budding in the field
Innocent, uncorrupted
And filled with the desire of open and uncorrupted minds
And when they took Him from our midst
His heart was filled with joy
He said we should not be sad
He was going to be with His Father Who sent Him
He looked down from the cross
On which he had been crucified
His eyes were kind and forgiving
His smile warm and filled with love
Though His body was wrecked in pain
He begged God to forgive us and to open our eyes
When the sword of the king's commander
Was thrust into His bosom
His eyes fell upon the hand and face
That dealt Him the blow of death.
The look then appearing in His eyes
Was not of anger or revenge
But both of sorrow and great happiness
Of love and forgiveness
And at that moment on that day
As if the whole of creation stopped
The heart of the king's commander was changed forever.
When His last breath was given up
His eyes and soul were fixed only upon One
That One for Whom His every breath had been sacrificed
Whom he had called His Father and his Lord
And when that lone and last tear dripped slowly
And ran its' way down upon His weathered cheek
Falling softly to the ground
His only wish was that He had served his Father well
And done all that was entrusted unto Him
He uttered but one more word crying out in pain
"Father" said He as His body slumped at His last breath.
When darkness then covered the land
And the Sun of His blessings no longer shown upon the soil
And all that he had said seemed to vanish
In the sorrow of the day
When all were suffering in the doubt of his absence
And believing defeat indeed was theirs
To the sweetness of Mary Magdalene He appeared
And then to the others to them He came
And blessed their presence with his words
Leading them from the darkness of doubt.
And I; as I stood back and witnessed all
Was but to wonder
Who was He that had stolen my heart and thoughts?
That had brought a new light into the life of my soul.
Who was He?
And He answered
Some call Me the King of the Jews
Others call me the Messiah
I am Jesus of Nazareth
I am a Prophet of God
I am a Messenger from God
I am the Servant of God
I am the Christ
I am the Son of God, Him Who sent me
Many say that I came from heaven
Others say My Mother was a virgin
And I was conceived of God
They ask me who am I and why have I appeared?
I come not to send peace but a sword.
But the sword I speak of is my tongue
Wherewith I utter my teachings
And by my Word I separate all things as if with a sword
Cutting one piece from the other
I separate spiritual light from darkness
I separate truth from falsity
I separate what is real life from that which is not life
I separate love from hatred
I separate that which is Godly
From that which is not of God
I open the eyes of the spiritually blind by my teachings
I awaken the slumbering souls from their sleep
I raise the spiritually dead from the grave of error
I cause the weak to walk again in the path of God
I heal the leper who has lost his way
By revealing the teachings of God Who sent me.
I accept the spears of those whose eyes are closed
And whose hearts are not chosen
I sacrifice my life though I am not accepted by others
Yet only a few
For the world to which I come is lost in darkness
And corruption is rampant in the hearts of men
Believing they are gods.
I am powerful above that which brings life to the land
It does my bidding
That water which is the teaching of God
For I am the One Who brings the new teaching
And reveals to man the new Revelation of God
I am He Who dies for your sins
I show you my love of my Father
And demonstrate the strength of my love
By giving myself up to be crucified for your sins
I am the anointed One and the Christ.
