The Cynthiana Tire Company of Cynthiana, Kentucky

A Review

Mr. Tackett has owned Cynthiana Tire since he started it 33 years ago and it is currently located beside 3-M at 1024 New Lair Road in Cynthiana, Kentucky. In the almost 20 years I lived in Cynthiana I never heard a bad word about this shop whatsoever. His shop takes care of most automotive needs, from tires to maintenance to most repairs. In the words of a shy employee, Cynthiana Tire can handle "everything but engine work."

After having a blowout on the way to Cynthiana, I walked in today to discover Mr. Tackett himself manning the front desk. He stays busy caring for his customers so he didn't stay there long. I explained the fact that I'm from Paducah and I was running on a donut spare and asked for his assistance. He assured me that he could take my Goodyear credit card, but he wasn't sure if he had a tire that would work.

At first he was going to give me a used tire (charging for the mounting), but after looking at the condition of the used one he came back to me apologetically. "Would you mind if we just put a Firestone tire on there? I want to make sure that you get home safe and I don't trust this spare. I'm sorry that I don't have any of the Goodyear tires to match what you have on hand."

I accepted his proposal and he immediately worked my van into his schedule. Within moments my van was pulled around back and the tire mounted. He even answered my request to leave the spare laying in the back so that it would be easily accessible in the event of another flat (a necessity when you travel as much as I). I paid using my Goodyear credit card and was on my way in less than an hour.

If you are in the Cynthiana, Kentucky area and need auto service I highly recommend for you to take your vehicle to Cynthiana Tire. The service is prompt, the employees are friendly and they will work hard to get you back on the road again. Mr. Tackett himself went out of his way to accommodate the needs of this wandering traveler and strives to provide the best service you can find in this area.

Yeah, he really pulled my fat out of the fire! I figured I would write this as a "thank you" to him. Every business can use good publicity.
