This is a charming coffee shop that also offers great food. They do catering as well. You can get coffee, Chai Tea, Steamers and Hot Chocolate as well as Cappucino and Espresso. There are signature specialty Espresso Lattes available for anywhere from $3.30 to $3.95 depending on the size. You can get CocoMocha, Coconut, Chocolate, Macadamia drinks with whipped topping. Try CaraMocha , Caramel, Chocolate, Macadamia and or Creamy Caramel. a Caramel Latte with Vanilla and whipped topping. Plain Lattes are available in Coffee,Vanilla or Cafe Mocha.
You can get breakfast or lunch most of the day. There are lots of baked goods, Croissants, muffins, scones, cinnamon buns, bagels plain, buttered or with cream cheese and jelly, dessert bars and cookies. You can get cakes by the slice. The baked goods taste fresh baked. For a more typical breakfast spend $3.85 to $4.85 for Egg and Cheese with Bacon or Ham. You can keep it simple and just get the Egg and Cheese itself on bagel or a Croissant.
For lunch The Daily Grind offers Soup, Salads and Sandwich specialities. One of the sandwiches, Turkey and Brie, is extremely good. It come with slices of Apple and a sweet Mango Chutney, it's delightful. Each ingredient compliments the others.. Ham can be substituted for the Turkey. This is melted in a blast oven and is indescribably good. I had to bring half home it was so filling. Try Veggies and Pesto, a combination of Spinach, Roasted Red Pepper, Red Onion and Provolone on a Baguette. You can get sandwiches on Ciabatta or Croissants as well. The ingredients are all very fresh and the portions are adequate. The Roast Beef and Cheddar Cheese is iffy. The meat is bland and the Cheddar has very little taste. All the other sandwiches were a hit. The wait staff is more than willing to substitute one ingredient for another, they are very accomodating. They will bring your food to the table for you. They are very kind to children, and very patient.
Chili is available for $4.50 for a generous portion, not too spicey. Soup is a soup of the day ( $3.50). The salads menu includes the Mediterranean with Romaine lettuce, Hard boiled Egg, Red Onion, Olives and Feta Cheese with a vinagrette for $5.95. You can get a Caesar Salad, Chicken Salad or the House Cafe Salad which is a combination of mixed greens, Mandarin Orange, Grape Tomato, Walnuts and dressing for $5.95.
Everything is fresh and very tasty. I've enjoyed salads and sandwiches there. Sometimes I just grab a great muffin and go on my way. The muffins are the freshest I've ever tasted. The portions are medium to large. The baked goods are unbelievably good and samples are usually out for your tasting.
If you don't drink coffee you can get a fruit smoothie ($3.30-$4.50), Green Tea, Chai Tea, Strawberry and Cream. or Iced Tea ( $1.60-$2.00). Any of these can be flavored if you like. You can try the delicious Pomegranate Green Tea or an Italian Soda with 6 different flavorings added at no charge.
You can buy whole bean coffee and have it ground. This comes in 1 lb. bags.
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. There are couches as well as tables with chairs. It's wheelchair accessible and parking is a breeze since it's in a large shopping center. They have a little motto "Daily Grind Unwind". This is a perfect place to just sit and read the paper and unwind with some good food.
