Many times my husband and I drove past The Daily Grind before actually trying it. Then after hearing a co-worker mention it was a favorite place of hers' and she'd like a gift card from there for Christmas, we decided to give it a try. That next Saturday my husband and I tried it for breakfast and went back and took our ground children with us. it has become a favorite of the whole family! We live for Saturday mornings, when my husband is not working so we can get energized and reconnect at The Daily Grind after our busy work week.
When you walk in, The Daily Grind welcomes you with friendly staff ready to wait on you. The decor is unique with various forms of art on the walls from local artists as well as eclectic furniture. There are 2 and 4 seat tables as well as couches with coffee tables to sit at. A bookshelf is present filled with books from a borrowing library or games for customers to play while there. Internet connection is also available for those wanted to catch up on work or email during their breakfast or lunch.
The Daily Grind opened in 1997 and is owned by Pat & Tanya Bleiler. The Daily Grind offers a unique menu full of homemade pastries, unique sandwiches and salads, homemade soups, omelets, various flavors of ground & brewed coffees, both hot and iced, gourmet teas, cappuccinos, lattes', steamers, smoothies, sodas, and more. They will make your hot or cold drink your way and have a huge variety of bottled flavors to add to your special beverage concoction. My son's favorite hot caffeinated drink is the Lexington Latte' with added vanilla cream. My husband always drinks straight black house coffee and I have hot Yerba Matte' with a touch of honey! This place has an organic feel and I reminisce of the warm fuzzy days of the 60's and 70's.
The Daily Grind is open 6:30 am til 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday, til 9 on Fridays and open 8 am til 2:00 pm on Saturdays. They are open for breakfast and lunch, with dinner being an option during the week. The Daily Grind has musical performances Friday nights at 8 pm featuring local area musicians and vocalists. Anyone may inquire the manager of their desire to show off their skills in performance.
Young and old alike will enjoy The Daily Grind. Visit a few times and find your favorite drink of choice and you too will be hooked! If you want an intimate, casual and cozy setting with a small neighborhood feel, then The Daily Grind is the place for you!
