Chef Jack Riebel has been cooking in the twin cities for the last twenty years. His impressive resume includes cooking for the Mikhail Gorbachev dinner at the governor's mansion, and for the National Taste of the NFL Super Bowl Event.
The lunch menu caters to both the light and robust appetite. For the lighter eater, a cup of roast tomato soup is paired with a petite grilled cheese sandwich. If you're a salad lover, try the Petite Greens, sprinkled with goat cheese, and dressed with balsamic vinaigrette. It's not only a feast for the taste buds, but at just $6.00, it's light on your wallet as well.
The Classic Burger is a half pound of meaty, cheesy, goodness. Topped with your choice of cheese, with a hearty side of chips, this burger will fill up the man in your life.
If you like a burger with everything on it, the Cobb Salad burger is for you. In addition to the natural Angus beef, bleu cheese, bacon, avocado, and hard cooked eggs are also layered on your burger. You may have to cut it in half to eat it.
The wine list is extensive with red wine, white wine, sparkling wine, and dessert wine available. Ask your server for a recommendation to pair with your meal.
The waiters are very helpful and used to answering questions, so don't hesitate to ask. If your meal needs to be vegetarian, discuss your options with the chef, who will try to accommodate you.
I recommend the Soy Cured Organic Salmon as a starter for dinner. It comes with an avocado panna cotta, and preserved relish salad. You can really taste the freshness of the salmon.
Your taste buds will swoon with happiness, when you taste the Stuffed Breast of Amish Chicken with coconut shrimp, banana squash, and kaffir. This entrée is $23.00, but well worth the price.
Be sure to save room for dessert. To cool you off, order a 1919 Root Beer Float. Malted vanilla ice cream is topped with frothy root beer. A buckwheat wafer completes this classic float.
For the white chocolate lover, Frozen Mocha Latte Parfait features a mocha & white chocolate semi-freddo, topped with Oreo crumbs. Ask for extra Oreo crumbs to enhance your chocolate experience.
