Jason Garrett is no longer the interim head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Jason Garrett is the Head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. It is official, no more interim in Jason Garrett's title. Now, it is time to get to work and sort out just what all Jason Garrett will need to address to get the Dallas Cowboys back on track.

Jason Garrett is the eighth coach in the franchise history, but he is the first head coach who also played for the Dallas Cowboys. Jason was one of Troy Aikman's backup quarterbacks during the 90's and studied the methods of then head coach Jimmie Johnson. Jimmie Johnson ran a tight ship, and Jason Garrett believes that is what led the Cowboys to dominating the NFL during that time. As Jason puts it, "It's the Cowboy way."

Jason Garrett Will Need to Address the Offense:

One key area that Dallas Head Coach Jason Garrett will have to work on is the offensive line. Brian Holden, a lifelong fan recommends moving Doug Free from left tackle to the right tackle position. "When Doug played the right side because the starter was injured, he played well. When he returned to the left side, Doug did not perform as well.

Brian goes on to analyze the other key positions, "We have got receivers and capable quarterbacks. We could use another fullback who can do what Daryl 'Moose' Johnston did for Emmitt Smith back in the 90's. Emmitt would never have broken all of those records without 'Moose' clearing the way for him. Tashard Choice is as talented as Emmitt Smith was. He just needs a good fullback to pave the way."

Jason Garrett will need to Address the Cowboys' Defense:

Brian believes that the Dallas Cowboys have great talent on the front seven of the defense. "The safety position has been hurting for years now." Otherwise, the defense needs to "Keep their heads on their shoulders and have better disciple."

The entire team will have to work on their personal and team discipline. The Dallas Cowboys have made great strides in that department already. Jason Garrett has already made his mark by requiring that everyone make it to the team meetings, that they are on time, and that they work hard to earn their checks.

It was amazing that Jason Garrett took the team from one of the most embarrassing seasons of the franchise history and turned it around in mid-season. Now, with a full-off season to prepare for next season, Jason Garrett and the Dallas Cowboys should be well on their way to dominating the NFL once again. Fans and critics alike will be keeping their eyes on him.

Good luck, Jason Garrett, Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
