The Dangers of Fashion

There are several dangers of fashion and there is also several ways at looking at this subject. For instance it is dangerous to wear the wrong type of clothing such as flammable fabrics to a barbeque. Also there is the danger of giving the wrong impression, or becoming sick if you are following the wrong role models.

Fashion is dangerous when you do not know how to wear a garment. For example you buy your first pair of stilettos; before you wear them in public you would first need to learn to walk in your new shoes. You would want to do this inside where you have some room to walk.

Another fashion item that may be dangerous could be a broach with its sharp pointy ends and pins. Therefore you would need to be careful when you put it on and how you wear it.

You would be in danger of looking odd if you wore a top with a plunging neckline and a miniskirt. It is advisable to either choose a plunging neckline OR a short skirt, but not both together.

When choosing clothing to wear take into account what occasion you are dressing for. Say you are dressing for work you would not turn up for work in a tacky pair of jeans and a holey shirt, especially if you worked in a corporate office. On the other hand you would not wear a suit if you were a painter.

An important point to remember is to be careful of the fabric your clothing is made out of. Some fabrics are highly flammable. This is dangerous especially if you are sitting close to an open fire.

Some fabric finishes can also be dangerous not only as a fire hazard but as a health hazard; such as fabrics containing the chemical formaldehyde, which in high does can be a very big health risk.

Another danger of fashion is over skinny and anorexic models both male and female, a lot of teenagers and young people idolize these people and make them into role models. This can be dangerous especially if you stop eating so that you can look like your favorite role model.

Remember before you choose what you are going to wear of who you are going to idolize, think about how you will look. Are you in danger of being overdressed or underdressed? Have you checked the clothing label? Is it safe to wear? Have you worn the outfit before? How did it make you feel? Did it look right?

If there is a chance that a fashion is going to be dangerous to you, do not follow it! At the very least get a friends opinion one who will tell you the truth and will be honest?
