The Dangers of Pornorgraphy

Zenovia B.
Some people view pornography as harmless fun, however it is anything but harmless? Some may view pornography as a way to release some sexual tension, but getting involved with this can eventually lead to more stress and broken relationships.

It can also lead to masturbation, pedophilia, homosexuality, rape and abuse.

For some people the addiction of Internet porn is more dangerous than crack cocaine.

Ted Bundy was a notorious rape and serial killer. He told Dr. James Dobson, "There are lots of kids playing in the street around the country who are going to be dead tomorrow and the next day and next month because other young people are reading the kinds of things and seeing the kinds of things are available in the media today."

"Sadly, Bundy was right," Dr. Dobson said. "Pornography has been found in the possession of almost every killer where sex was the motivation. Porn has moved from the hidden vice of a few to the entertainment of the masses, leaving in it's wake of countless addicted individuals, broken homes, sexual crimes and a nation desensitized."

According to Glenn Beck of Fox News, "Porn is a lusty, busty business and unfortunately, business is good." The statistics he quoted for revenue given back in the 2006 was around 2.5 billion in revenue. To put that into perspective, sales of music downloads generated less than half that.

This was a quote three years ago can you imagine the money that pornography generates now?

Chinn Street counseling center says, " On-line pornography viewed in magazines carries its own potential dangers, pornography viewed on line is exponentially more dangerous because of the speed with which images can be accessed and enter the mind, and because of the endless supply during any individual sitting."

"But above all it is the speed with which images can be called forth and the endless supply of variety that alters brain chemistry. No actual human encounter can match the intensity with which these chemical changes take place and alter the hormones that drive arousal. With repeated exposure over time, the man will find that his body is no longer responding to the often slow progression of arousal within his partner."

The effects it may have on your family could include your children, who can easily stumble across a website you have been viewing and get hooked on porn. Your spouse will be devastated to find that you are committing adultery through porn.

No longer will a person able to find enjoyment or intimacy with their spouse, becoming consumed to appeasing their own self sexually....in a nutshell becoming selfish.

Is pornography really a harmless act, is it really worth the results that may take years to deprogram from?
