I'll begin with the actors portrayed in this movie. Christian Bale is deemed to me to be one of the finest actors of our time and in the way he portrayed our beloved Caped Crusader Batman, he does a wonderful job. He does have a rather flawed persona that puts him on a balance in between what's right and what rules him to be incredibly insane. The way he views justice does give it a little bit more of an emotional and or personal perspective, it doesn't really matter if he's a hunky rich guy that does good by fighting crime in an invincible suit or if he's just an everyday guy who's just had his fair share of misery of all the wrong doings being done in Gotham City and/or decides to put an end to those insane psychopaths that endure their misery onto their victims in which he makes them pay for in the end. In this perspective Christian Bale does a phenomenal job in playing his character Bruce Wayne in which we as the viewers of this movie get to experience how he as a flawed hero does justify than any of the other previous Batman's.
Aside from that, It's without a doubt one of the best performances of all time on the part of Heath Ledger's very short and successful career, it is him that's truly the star of this movie because in every scene he's in he just steals the show. He plays one of the greatest villains of all time in any movie that has an actual villain, one of the best performances as the miserable, malicious Joker of all time (Jack Nicholson no comparison) he made his character, so believable I felt every emotion in this movie to realistic when he caused such terror . Heath Ledger's Joker is by far the greatest indication of all the other previous actors that have portrayed this character. He was very good at being so malicious, corrupt, all of the insanity, his terrifying psychosis it made him that much more realer in the way he played his character. It's also how mind blowing how the Joker is without a doubt one of Batman's toughest challenge as far as his evil nemesis because of the way he challenges him in every way possible. How he makes that smile so cynical and how he himself tells Batman in a particular scene that Batman and himself are in fact a freak to society. For Heath Ledger's unfortunate death he will certainly go into the history books as one of the greatest villains to ever play the role as well as the best to ever play the role of the Joker.
I certainly love how beautifully designed they made the movie The Dark Knight because the cinematography was very awe-inspiring. The way that the two cities Hong Kong and Gotham alike were very mind numbing because they had this very dark feeling about them with how all of the violence and corruption were taken place in them. It meshes quite well with the movie which in fact gives it a very new but yet unique feel to it in that sense. This is without a doubt one of the most beautifully designed Gotham City of all the Batman movie's ever made. I would give Wally Pfizer a pat in the back for sure because of the great job he took on making it possible.
To be very frank and brief this for sure is the greatest batman movie to date and will probably always be, I don't think there will ever be another movie that surpasses this one. This film will certainly knock you out and around your seat no matter where your watching it. It was the greatest superhero movie of the decade and of the year 2008, it's been 2 years since this movies been released and yet no ones been able to surpass it yet. All I have to say is that this movie will always get a thumbs up from me because of the greatness that this movie has achieved on so many different levels. So do yourself a favor if you haven't already dones so and see it it's certainly a movie worth watching, you won't be disappointed unless your crazy, Just Kidding.
