The Day After the World Ends

Robin Jessie-Green
Did you ever wonder

what it would be like

the day after the world ends?

If you're all who's left

of your family and friends?

Full of worry,

regrets, and should have beens?

No one to see your remorse

No ways to make amends.

There'd be you and you alone

to wander the lands on your own.

Did you ever wonder

what it would be like

to be the only life left despite--

all others ascension?

If not, then you're blessed

because it's hell with no rest

where my mind has been...

just wondering.

I love this poem, I would hate to loose my family but I wouldn't be sad, I would be the same. Alone. Great work on this.
