The only time I saw him cry
When his best friend died
He was the brother Ty never had
They lived together
When Noah wasn't in Iraq or Afghanistan
They fished and hunted together
They even worked together
The first year without him
My brother's first birthday without Noah
Was one of the hardest moments I've ever had with my brother
He cried, sobbed, right there at the bar
Drinking their favorite drink without Noah
Then he told me about his nightmares
And how he dreams of Noah every night
I tried to tell him eventually it would be ok
But I know it never will be
Noah will always live on inside of both of us

Someone you looked up to your entire life
