The Day of Man, the Day of the Lord
of glossy photos
and sinewy runners
made manifest to everyone
by the magic of TV.
Beautiful men and women
now rule the world,
and life is filled with
superstars.
Today is the day of man.
But the Day of the Lord
is soon coming.
He will split the mountains
apart with His feet,
and the stars of heaven
shall be his crown.
He will fill the sky
with a transcendent light,
and His sword shall be
the truth that He is speaking.
The Great Day of the Lord
is coming soon,
and men shall die at His feet
for lack of truth.
