The Difference Between a Dollar, a Fin, and a Dolphin

("Among" Just Didn't Sound Right)

Ali Canary
A dollar is a unit of currency. A fin is five dollars. A dolphin is a cetacean, which means it is basically a small whale. Fins are something dolphins use to help them swim. There are places you can swim with dolphins, but it will cost you many dollars, which may cause you to emit a small wail. This is called echolocation. Echolocation is used by dolphins to find their place in the ocean and to communicate with one another. They should communicate with one another to stay the hell away from Japan, a place in the ocean that is very bad for dolphins. When Japanese people say the English word "dolphin", it sounds like "dorofin", which is Spanish for "fin of gold". A fin of gold is worth a lot more than five dollars. If you found a fin of gold, you could probably afford to swim with the dolphins. Just stay the hell away from Japan.

Very funny. Makes my head swim, er, spin, and good advice re Japan, though I once remember a group of dolphins did know fishermen were coming to kill them, but the dolphins attacked first. They're smarter than us.

Does Subway make a dolphin sub? (A five dollar foot-long?) I seem to have a yen for one while I'm driving around in my Toyota.

Several years ago, I witnessed the ultimate in yuppiedom. The car in front of me bore a bumper sticker exhorting us to Save the Whales, which is fine, except it was a Toyota.
