The Dirty Side of Snow - Poem

Dusti Sparks-Myers
Beautiful white falling snow
When you arrived, I was all aglow
Wishing on snowflakes, same as a star
Dreaming of snowmen, how very bizarre.

Piled high as mountains on all the freeways
Oh, how I am ready for warm sunny days
'Cause now you are just the Czar of Woes
With my teary eyes and red glowing nose.

No longer pretty, not even near white
Driving to work is always a fight
Dingy and gray, my mind all a'blither
You are now the "Dirty Side of Winter".
