The Dish

R.B. McNEIL
A simple beauty misunderstood,
Not shining but sleek and grey.
You stand your watch,
And do your duty come what may.

Ever blooming, petal up-turned
Toward the distant sky.
Stem firm yet never weaving,
As days and stars pass by.

ISP cascading unseen waves.
You are my link to what is true.
My secret friend, my lonesome pal.
Efficient elegance that is you.

I am fortunate to live in the Montana wilderness vicinity wherein I can view parts of Glacier Park, The Bob Marshall Wilderness and the Great Bear Wilderness areas from my home.  View profile
