High upon a cliff top
Not far from the sea
Stands a one room rooftop
Owned by the dog and me
Four walls and a portal
Lawless and tax free
Servile to no mortal
Lived the dog and me
Lonely but together
Surviving naturally
Joyously free forever
Escaped the dog and me
Long ago my friend died
Caught in a forgotten trap
And no matter how I tried
I heard the vulture's flap
So I exist and sit
Reminiscing longingly
Until the end, when I slit...
And we are together...
Just the dog and me
