Is it Open or Closed?
It is closed
Or is it open?
Has it been there before?
Do I go through
To see what lies beyond
Or do I stay on the other side
Safe in the confines of my four walls
If the door remains closed
I shall see no more
Of what lies in store
For those brave enough
To walk through that door
If the door opens
And I walk outside
Perhaps dangers lie there
Masking themselves as pleasures
I've been there before
Perhaps I'll find the warmth of the sun
Forgetting the cares of this day
The door is there
