The Drought

Missy H.
Things are not quite so bad
when the pain subsides
and she tries to focus
on something besides
the hurt she feels
because who she adores
does not want her
But, herself she explores
She should know herself better
Find out what makes herself tick
She contemplates how her emotions
are on a pogo stick
One day she's up
the next she feels down
One minute, morose
the next, a clown
She loves him and wishes
he would fall for her
but things would have to be different
for that to occur
She wants to know him
inside out
and it is utterly depressing
that she can not end the drought
