The "Drums of War" Are "Off Beat" Now!

Bush is Missing a Drum Stick!

Deez
OK folks, I know that others have already said their piece about the new (actually not so new, but newly released) intelligence report concerning the "Nuclear Threat" Iran posses but here is what I think anyways.

Well, surprise, surprise, the truth will set you free, there is no program according to our intelligence agencies. Poor old President Bush! I'm Sure he had a look on his face like a bride that has just been left at the alter. And V.P. Cheney forget about it, he probably had to go get his heart beat fixed again.

This revelation has far reaching implications, from a potential election shift here in the U.S., to foreign affairs in the Middle East. What are the real reasons for this revelation, you ask! Well, lets explore that one for a minute.

I wonder if the President wasn't told by leaders of the "Muslim World," at his Mid-East Peace conference in Annapolis, that before there could be any talk of a "Mid-East Peace Plan" he (Bush) had to back off his "Drum Beat to War in Iran." If you think about it, it makes sense. It makes more sense then Bush and Cheney having a sudden change of heart in regards to Iran.

Or maybe someone in the intelligence community threatened to make this report public, thereby, dooming any chance the GOP might have at winning the next election. So, in response to this threat, Bush preempted this hazard by releasing the info first. If that's the case, it makes sense. Again, it makes more sense then a sudden change of heart by the administration.

Here is another scenario, maybe the GOP hopefuls set Bush down and told him, "Look dude, what the hell are you trying to do to us? Your killing us! If you keep this blatant lying up we are going to lose everything we have worked so hard for! It will take the GOP years to recover from your run in office. So, back the hell off with your "Drum Beat to War With Iran," or we are going to have you whacked!" That even seems more probable then a sudden change of heart by the "Bush/Cheney Duo."

How much do you want to bet that if any of the Republicans, minus a Ron Paul Win, wins the next election, the drum stick will be given back to the next administration and the Republicans will restore the "Drum Beat to War With Iran." I may be wrong but I doubt it.

Sorry about the sarcasm, I'm just so tired of this administrations bold and blatant lies, war's and bully tactics, I just had to vent. Here is hoping no more "Drum Sticks" are given out to Bush and those of his Ilk.

This president has made it so hard for the "American Public" and the "World in General" to ever again have trust in, faith in, and respect for, the American Presidential Office. He has single handedly destroyed a once prestigious American Institution. Here is hoping someone with integrity wins our next "Presidential Election" but looking at the front runners I'm losing hope.

Orchiolum, I wish I could be as descriptive as you when I write!

Funny how such tiny countries could pose a threat to the US. Now if any of them aligned with China we could be in big trouble. I can not speak intelligently about China's military might. A couple of years ago, I used to visit a forum populated with a lot of people from India. Because of the trouble the invasion of Iraq created for the US, those people were fearing World War 3 and mentioned that India should align with China against the US in any future battle. Those people could speak with intelligence on the subject, talking about placement of military bases around the world and stuff like that. I found a map showing where our outposts are; wish I had bookmarked it, because it told me a better story than the ones that make headline news.

"Bush missing a drum stick" (perhaps a marble as well) is a minor issue. The much larger problem is that Bush doesn't even know how to play the "Drums of War". As a result, his Iraq debacle has been, and will continue to be, a black hole which sucks up every living thing and resource within it's grasp.

"P.S. Jim...any chance to get a dig in on Bush is a welcome oportunity, one that can't be ignored for long;-)" No surprise there Brother!

Jim...if you remember my original words...I said, I think Iran and North Korea were more of a threat than Iraq ever was...that's what I said. And I wasn't making a case to invade either one of the aforementioned, I was making and argument that Iraq was a mistake. Don't go putting words in my mouth. And if you remember I was being sarcastic at the time and also said...we should conquer all of the middle east starting in Saudi. Be that as it may I'm glad the ramp up is on the down hill now.

Good write, Deez..and your correct, if America is silly enough to elect another war monger, there will be plenty who will bie itching to give him a stick...oil companies, halliburton and subsidiaries, the evangelicals who hope for Armageddon, etc. So it is critical that enough people show up and vote against them that even their vote rigging shenanigans will be overcome.

No Deez, there IS a program - way to not read what's being read. They have both a uranium enrichment program, AND a nuclear weapons program. One is temporarily on freeze - not dismantled, temporarily on freeze. I didn't even KNOW they had a weapons program in 2003, just that they were enriching uranium. Now my sense of urgency has only been doubled, not diminished.

I thought you have repeatedly stated that you feel Iran is the real threat, and that instead of Iraq, we should have been kicking RatBoy's ass? So, if that's the case, and it is, why do you sound as if you've changed your tune? Or, conversely is this just a "get Bush" regardless of the fact that you have repeatedly stated what a problem Iran is? See Deez, at least you are a Dem, cause you're singing a new song cause it's a new day. I wish I could just say one thing one day, and then to suit my purposes, I could say the opposite thing the next day. So where do I sign up to get the unimpeded access to waffling? Do I have to call John "Flip-Flop" Kerry? Or is just becoming a Democrat all that's needed to gain the right? Lemme know.
