The Duggar Family Publishes Their First Book as They Are About to Welcome Their 18th Child

The Duggars: 20 and Counting!: Raising One of America's Largest Families--How They Do It

Tiffany Bell
The Duggar family first came on the scene on a record breaking documentary on the Discovery Health Channel a couple years back. Since then they have had a couple more children (the 18th is on the way) and have gained more popularity. They even now have their own show on The Learning Channel (TLC) called "17 Kids and Counting" that airs every Monday night. The Duggars also reached another milestone in that they just released their own book. The book is called The Duggars: 20 and Counting!: Raising One of America's Largest Families--How they Do It.

In this book Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar give the reader behind-the scenes glimpses into how they manage their 17 kids. They also give insights on how they afford the whole Duggar family when it comes to food, clothing and special activities. The Duggar family book contains stories, poems, tips, recipes, and practical ideas that come straight from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

If you have seen one of the Duggar family shows, you know that the Duggar family is quite religious. In their book, they share also share their solid faith and beliefs and how it has helped them through their lives. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar share how their faith and beliefs make them the parents they are and make their children who they are. They share in the book how their faith takes a part in everything that they do such as parenting, the way they spend money and just how they live on a daily basis.

Many people may not agree with the Duggar family and their beliefs and practices, but this would be an interesting book to read for most parents. Imagine if the Duggar family can afford 17 kids (soon 18), how this book may be able to help a family that has 2 kids and they are struggling financially. This Duggar family book may also be for any parents looking for some guidance in their life and want to learn more about the Duggar's faith and beliefs.

With the Duggar family getting more and more popular, I'm sure that this new book of their's is going to be selling several copies. To purchase your own Duggar family book, you can visit amazon.com or the official website of the Duggar family. The Duggar family book retails for $15.99 but can be found at amazon on sale.

I think it is amazing how you and your husband is living. I also know that God has a lot to do with it. My mother, she is 90 years old, took me to church every Sunday, Sundaynight, and every Wensday night. She is the most religious person I know except now. I admire the way your life is headed. Teaching your kids about God and living the way God intended for us to live. Keep up doing what you are doing. I am in college. I go to Southeast State University and in our Family Resource class we have to do a essay paper on you and your family, how you and your husband manage your finiances with all your children. well God bless you and your family.

They subscribe to the "Quiverful" beliefs (no birth control, have as many children as possible). So did Andrea Yates (who murdered her five children) and her husband (who divorced her and remarried two days before her trial began). Possibly, another way the Duggars get by is perhaps thanks to financial links with the "Institute in Basic Life Principles."

I can't even imagine...nor do I want to imagine, having that many children!
