The Dunkin Donuts Breakfast Menu in Raleigh, North Carolina

My Visits to the 24 Hour Dunkin Donuts on Capital Blvd.

I recently crashed my car; and was without transportation for about 3 months. I had to give up my place in the country in Apex, NC; and take a full time job at a bar near a hotel in Raleigh, NC.

I stayed near Capital Blvd. which allowed me to walk to and from work.

Unfortunately, by the time I got off work late at night; my food options were very limited. I didn't find any late night delivery places until my 3rd month. So, for quite a bit of time; I was limited to Dunkin Donuts.

It was somewhat lucky for me that the Dunkin Donuts within walking distance was open 24 hours; and that they sold food other than donuts.

First off, I was disappointed to see that Dunkin Donuts food items were not listed on the website. The Dunkin Donuts website only had a "featured food," section where only a few items were highlighted. I think that all food chains should at least have their complete menu on line.

How is anyone to know that you can actually get a sausage, egg and cheese at Dunkin Donuts at all-unless you really want a donut or coffee one day; or somebody tells you? I don't eat donuts much; and never really buy coffee out. So, if I weren't staying across the street from Dunkin Donuts; and never talked to the hotel front desk; I wouldn't have known anything.

Dunkin Donuts now sells many types of bagels; and a good variety of cream cheeses. The other non-donut food at Dunkin Donuts were pretty good for what they were. The taste of the foods did remind me a bit of school lunch food flavor though; but, that's only after eating the food for like 5 days straight.

Dunkin Donuts' eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, egg white omelette's etc. come pre-frozen. Your server then heats up your food with cheese if you like; and toasts your bread. I felt though, for food that was frozen and reheated right in front of you; that it was all a bit overpriced.

Dunkin Donuts' flat breads were okay and a little healthier of an option. Everything was okay flavor-wise; but nothing was jumping off the plate. I think this is because everything had a hint of sameness since it was all frozen and then reheated in the same oven. Still, it was hot food and nourishment at 3am.

What I did like about the 24 hour Capital Blvd. location of Dunkin Donuts; was that the servers allowed me to make whatever type of sandwich I wanted there. I was able to have a bacon, sausage and egg sandwich rather than the same sausage, egg and cheese everyday.

What I didn't like about the 24 hour Capital Blvd. location of Dunkin Donuts, was that this location had some very rude and unsavory people working there on the late night shift.

Just getting off of work; I really just wanted to get my food and take it home and eat.

Instead of this I had to be harassed every time I went to this Dunkin Donuts location by my server who was disgusting. He leered at me asking me for my number in front of all the customers every night. Then he would follow me out into the parking lot and yell at me as I went back to my hotel. It got to the point where I just avoided the 24 hour Capital Blvd. location of Dunkin Donuts and paid $10/night in a cab to go pick up take-out food from the Waffle House down the street because of this treatment. There are some pretty negative characters that frequent the 24 hour Capital Blvd. Dunkin Donuts. Beware of this location.
