The Dzmc Apocrypha 14

Thomas Cleveland Lane
Note: For those of my readers who may wonder what this is all about, I refer you, with little or no trepidation, to The Dzmc Apocrypha, which started the whole thing, back in July of that far-gone year, 2009. Up is the direction you may wish to bone before proceeding any further. Go ahead, we will wait...

November, 2000

malaprop pete crossed
the street with
his feet, causing the cheats in
the fifty-cent seats to heckle and
whistle a dirge. some
threw bananas, while smart-
thinking planners saved all
their wet blankets for
the next rainy day. i
laid down a nickel for a
half of a pickle, then sneered keep
the change to the unwitting victim of my
most recent splurge.

yet, for all the above and money
nor love, some things will still stay the
same. the bears in the woods, as
catholic as the pope, seldom
use soap, it is said by the sayers
of sooth. remember that fact and
show us some tact, the next
time you wake up in a
rigged voting booth.

I'd have to say that this one is a far improvement in content from the beginning...not having read any in between, that is. Very enjoyable indeed.
