You are of the earth, do not forget. Humanity pays a great price for forgetting their kinship to the earth. In fact, the connection between humanity and earth runs at a much deeper level than kinship. You are of the earth, and the earth of you. Absolutely no separation exists between you and the earth except ignorance and forceful neglect.
The observer and the observed must not be separated, or seen as separate entities. This causes suffering, pain, confusion, and violence. Everything that is known to us, everything physical, is from the earth, is the earth. And the earth is everything. Again, there is no distinction. Therefore, when you observe the objects around you, or the people who surround you, nothing separates you from them. You are what you observe, rooted truly and eternally in the earth, and the earth's capacity, function, and overall genesis both underscores and demands this very fact.
When you neglect or ignore that you are the earth, and the earth is you, your individuality, which is earth's individuality, becomes frayed, and responsibility for your actions and existence slip away. If you truly believe you are not of the earth, and the earth is not of you, then you do not have any responsibility to care for the earth, or be cautious and aware of every decision and action you make. And since everything is of the earth, since everything is rooted eternally to this earth, neglect and ignorance undermine and tear away the responsibility one has for everyone and everything that exists, seen or unseen.
Acceptance of the notion that you are the earth and the earth is you will manifest through your actions, and cannot be put up as a concept or idea. By saying, "Yes, I understand that I am the earth, and everything is of the earth, and the earth is of me and everything in existence," you demonstrate how distant you really are from knowing, truly understanding, and actively participating in the idea that you are of the earth, and the earth is of you. The concept, accepted or rejected, becomes an image, an idea, and it separates you, as the observer, from the other person/object, or the observed.
Only through pure acceptance of what is, and an opening of awareness inside, can individual modesty and ultimate world peace come to fruition. It may be impossible.

Post a CommentLoved ths !!!!!!!! Nicely written and oh so true!!!!!!!!!!!
So well said.
This is soooo true...the earth and all of its bounty is very much interrelated to us. I enjoyed reading this b/c I really feel that in our culture this is forgotten. We eat off of store shelves which provide nothing for us nutritionally... as if we are mechanical and our only purpose is to chase money get more material things....we forget that we are of the earth and therefore need the earth's food to sustain us well. Great work!
Fascinating read thanks!!!!
